NATO fighter jets have been flying combat patrols along the Ukrainian borders. USAF F-35s out of Poland and F-16s out of Romania. I’m sure other NATO aircraft are also involved.

Bull and don’t rise to anywhere close to justifying an invasion. To argue otherwise is idiocy.

Well, it's just a re-escalation of the same conflict that's been going on over the last 8 years and things have mysteriously escalated over the last year.

Yeah the current government isn't even the same government as the one that allegedly gave Russia justification for invasion in 2014

He's here, just ask him to tell you the story when he hid in his car from a Mexican chick he pissed off in his apt parking lot. Hid so long his ice cream cake melted and he had to tell the story on the OT, because, yiu know, that's how all tough guys react.

Would he change the narrative now and lie and say it's all propaganda?

Let's see...

It's different when we do it. We're spreading democracy, one drone bomb at a time, whether you like it or not!

I mean you joke and we absolutely shouldn’t have taken all the actions we have taken in the last 70 years but it is different. Context matters

The government in 2014 was illegitimate and being propped up by Russia. It was a puppet state. We helped but it was still a popular uprising. The current government is the legitimate government.

Dude, we overtly fomented an actual coup after a legitimate national election. I don't support Russia doing what they're doing at all, but to believe what you just said is asinine.

The problem with his argument is that it ignores that "building up Ukraine economically" would be perceived as a threat/attack by Russia.

There is nothing Ukraine can/could do to improve itself that Russia would approve because Russia wants a subservient subject-nation. Ukraine developing and improving means stronger independence, and anything other than pro-Russian development is seen as anti-Russian development by Putin.

You think putin gives 2 fricks about this? He wants to rebuild the Russian empire and leave a legacy. That's it.

Putin is putting Ukraine in its place because Joe Biden and the Intel agencies use this state to stir up trouble for Russia.

Putin knew Ukraine was a dirty hub for money laundry and a playground for the corrupt ruling elite of the west like John McCain and the US State Department. This played a role in him wanting to take it back.

How will Putin benefit in this matter by taking Ukraine?

Bull shite. Ukraine was a dirty player in the corrupt global geopolitical stage. They decided to allow utter blatant corruption and money laundering to occur within their borders.

And you think that is why Putin launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine? Because he wanted to fight corruption?

Lol it was a clearly illegitimate election rigged by corruption and force directed by the Russians. The current government is still highly popular. Like more popular than any American government ever lol

Probably because he was tired of the CIA using Ukraine to stir the pot in Russia.
