UPDATE ON UKRAINE 12 July 2022
INTELLIGENCE UPDATE
Russian troops continue to make small incremental territorial gains in Donetsk oblast with Russia claiming to have seized control of the town of Hryhorivka. Russian forces also continue their assault along the E-40 main supply route towards the cities of Slovyansk and Kramatorsk. Russian forces are likely maintaining military pressure on Ukrainian forces whilst regrouping and reconstituting for further offensives in the near future.
Russian Armed Forces' personnel shortages may be forcing the Russian MOD to turn to non-traditional recruitment. This includes recruiting personnel from Russian prisons for the Wagner Private Military Company. If true, this move likely indicates difficulties in replacing the significant numbers of Russian casualties.

Guess Russia finally found a source of military hardware to get around sanctions

According to US intel, Russia is (in the process of) using Iranian drones in Ukraine.
In recent months, I have monitored air traffic from Iran to Russia closely, and noticed many flights (at least 30 now) by 2 sanctioned cargo airlines.

The very same IRGC-affiliated, OFAC-sanctioned cargo airlines (Qeshm Fars Air, Pouya Air) regularly flew to ????Ethiopia in 2021.
@oryxspioenkop found that also ????Ethiopia received drones manufactured in ????Iran.

Ukraine long-range rockets hit Russian ammo depot in south, massive explosions and fires
Long-range rockets of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (UAF) struck a Russian Federation (RF) ammunition depot in the southern city of Nova Kakhovka, detonating hundreds of munitions and setting massive fires, news and official reports said Tuesday, July 12.
At least six precision-guided rockets fired from a US-manufactured HIMARS weapons system slammed into the military base and warehousing around 11 P.M. on Monday, July 11, Serhiy Khlan, a spokesman for the Kyiv-affiliated Kherson regional defense command, said in a statement.
Both Ukrainian and RF-associated social media following the strikes showed images of a ball of orange flame billowing over the site moments after an explosion, and a mushroom-shaped cloud billowing into the night sky. According to Khlan, initial and secondary blasts below out apartment building windows a distance of two kilometers from the base.
Ukrainian independent news reports, citing local sources, said the RF base in Nova Kakhovka contained fuel tanker trucks, dozens of other vehicles and at least 200 heavy artillery rockets delivered over the last three days. Fires were still burning and secondary explosions were still taking place six hours after the strike, some reports said.

Apparently Russians are saying the most recent ammo dump site that was hit was ACTUALLY nitrate storage that went kaboom. Those soldiers really need to stop smoking so much

Russia claims they destroyed harpoon missiles
I wonder what they used to hit it with. Seems like a pretty small target for Russia to hit with their notoriously inaccurate missiles.

This is a really interesting Twitter thread about the Russians inability to adjust their ammo depot locations. It's multiple tweets long, so read down.

You might have seen this Russian ammunition dump be blown up last night by the Ukrainians, it reveals more than any other attack Ive seen about the state of the logistics war and the real problems the Russians face. We need to start with its location.

It seems obvious to me that Russia is dependent on rail which makes for large centralized depots sort of like an Amazon or WalMart distribution warehouse
