The economic activities of the UK are exponentially more effected by the Brexit Mess and the repercussions of ditching your largest trading partners than sanctions.

CircleK is huge in Japan, where the sanctions are working.

Most definitely. They want to be able to pin it on Boris instead of the whole party taking a hit (as they should).
If there's an issue with Russia, though, it's not being pro-Ukraine that's hurt him. As foreign secretary, he took private meetings on foreign soil with Alexander Lebedev, an ex-KGB man owner of the Indepdendent who has now had to step aside due to sanctions, in Italy and later gave Lebedev's son peerage and that doesn't look good at the moment, especially in light of how hard the Russians pimped Brexit.

I’m always stuck wondering how much of his anti-Russian pro Ukrainian support is based on a reaction to Tories being in bed with so many oligarchs. Londongrad is real.

Then why didn’t he resign beforehand? Quit the cap

Not to mention Johnson’s COVID restrictions and his private parties in a rules for thee not for me mentality.
I just don’t know where the allegations of sexual harassment comes from. I’ve at least been able to gather it looks like he overlooked an appointee’s allegations vs his own. It’s been so commonly used to take people down it’s hard to tell when it’s real and when it’s merely politics.

I want to find it again, but doubt I will. I came across a tweet that did a deep dive on Russian logistics.

Pro Ukie president Biden has literally stated that the reason for recent inflation was due to big bad Putin. Don’t go hate on me, go hate on your boi for radding y’all out. It’s just really coincidental that Boris resigns after a Russian victory is clearly unavoidable. Boris Johnson is a coward and has decided not to die on this hill.

Actually Same Guy but updated thread was the one I saw
quote:
Infrastructure destroyed by Russian artillery plus the utter lack of mechanized logistics yields much different truck logistics 'beer math.'
1. 90 km on Ukrainian artillery ravaged roads is minimally a 2 hour drive one way or 4 hours on the road round trip.
2. Since Russian trucks need to be loaded by hand, you are looking at least 3 hours to load & a further 3 hours to unload.
3. Add in needed break times for the drivers, etc. & 1 Russian tactical truck can do 1 supply run a day to between 60% & 75% the radius of action that 'FEEDING THE BEAR' beer math laid out, call it 30% of Vershinn's logistic capability model.
This has huge implications given the Ukrainian artillery depot interdiction campaign.

Who is my boi?
In any case, I really hope you're trolling with this logic because it is just beyond stupid, like you need actual help level stupid. Boris' resigning has everything to do with his scandals and literally jack shite to do with Ukraine.
It would be like trying to claim Nixon resigned because of Vietnam instead of Watergate

1. He’s not my boi
2. You’ve indicated he’s not your either, so why are you using his opinion as justification for your point?
3. His opinion is fos, but several of you who disagree with Biden damn sure use his opinion to make your points.
4. If the war stopped today, supply disruptions & sanctions & govt stupidity would not improve tomorrow.

Russia rejoices at the downfall of Boris, even calling him a clown! It’s starting to look like again, Putin has dvck slapped the West and achieved his goals. Putin will go down as one of the most brilliant politicians in the 21st century and perhaps Russian history. He is clearly the Bismarck of our time! The most aggressive anti Russian leader just ate shvt lol.

You’re an American sucking Putin off acting like he’s the most benevolent leader of all time that does no wrong. You deserve to have the shite kicked out of you until you can no longer repopulate the earth with your filthy offspring and I would enjoy doing it.

I’m sure he does considering Boris has been the European leader at the forefront of supporting Ukraine. Doesn’t mean he’s responsible for his resignation.

Putin has dvck slapped the West and achieved his goals.
Which goals? To not have NATO expand? Reabsorbing all of Ukraine? Denazifying Ukraine? Or just taking 10% of Ukraine without regard to cost? It’s a moving target here so just want to understand.

Bismark wasn’t Russian. This is also not a good comparison.
We’re not even a quarter of the way through the century for you to make that claim, even if it were supported.
When it’s all said and done he won’t even be a top 5 leader of Russia muchless the world.

Let’s see what happens with Kherson. The first city to fall, and probably the most strategic city that is being contested.
Sounds like the Ukrainian army is right on the doorstep, and getting closer. If Russia loses control of Kherson, then all bets are off.

All the winning here. It’s just too much.

No idea how widespread the sentiment or actual billboards are, but apparently these billboards have started appearing in Russia saying "Alaska is ours!"
