I’m going to enjoy listening to you make apologies for the Russian army once the Ukrainians get their reserves trained into the field with the new shipments of western hardware from howitzers to HIMARS systems. Putin got himself caught in a bear trap underestimating the Ukrainians will to fight and the western countries willingness to arm them to the extent that they have and now he doesn’t know how to get out of his royal frickup.

Lt. Gen. Roman Berdnikov, formerly the commander of Russian troops in Syria, is believed to have died Sunday, possibly in the same battle that killed Russian Maj. Gen. Roman Kutuzov, Russian-language Telegram channel Volya Media reported. [Both] generals were in an armored column that was ambushed by Ukrainian forces,

And some on here doubted me when my source(s) told me that the Ukrainians had a kill
list of the Russian commanders and that they were systematically killing them.

I think twitter banning people is dumb, but that tweet doesn’t “point out that some members of the Ukrainian military are actual nazis.”

Great, now you can be banned from Twitter for pointing out some members of the Ukrainian military are actually Nazis. Great job proving the point:

Well, if that is what you take away from reading that, then it certainly explains a lot.

They gonna use these to pound the supply lines? Seems like we a re a few short weeks from the new kids on the block to smash some Russian heads and obliterate their already low morale.

I wonder if the rumors of Russia formally incorporating occupied territory also has anything to do with Russian restrictions against deploying conscripts abroad.

I think that’s what they wanted the HIMARS systems for so they can destroy their routes of supply but these can certainly do the job too. Ukraine is armed to the teeth right now and their soldiers are better trained. Russia has a big problem on their hands. With Russia breaking out the 1950’s equipment I say why not give Ukraine all the M60 tanks in the boneyard that we can that can be put back into service. It’s not an Abrams but it can easily go head to head with the T-62s Russia is down to using. If nothing else they can be good armored artillery for the infantry.

May not reach the supply lines but will for sure support the front and keep at least some Russian artillery back.

I know zero about it but seems like HIMARS will be targeting the supply lines. May start to see this in about 2 or 3 weeks.

Not a bad idea. Would we have the ammo to support it though?

Im sure we still have a shitload of 105mm shells in the armory. That wouldn’t be a problem. Some versions were 152 but I’m sure we have ammo in storage just like everything else.

I haven't kept up with the countries donating artillery shells. One of the more recent ones though, is a gift from Canada.

They bought 20000 rounds ($76 million worth) from the U.S. and turned around and gave them to Ukraine.

20,000 rounds isn’t shite. When I saw that I was very disappointed in Canada they can do so much more. If you have 100 howitzers then 20,000 rounds is only 200 per gun. They can go through that in a day or two with they way this war is playing out. It’s all about artillery and rockets. Everything helps but they need rounds in the millions not a few thousand. We just can’t supply that all ourselves. France should really be held accountable, they could offer so much help.
