Asking questions and giving other options is called discussion but this thread has become a reflection of our country by only accepting one line of thinking and trying to put down anyone that questions you.

So instead of sending money, that can be siphon off, why not just send weapons like Trump did.
Making unsubstantial claims and passing them off as a fact is not a discussion

Bro, you’re just making hamfisted political statements. Those aren’t questions or options. Try and engage in the discussion in a meaningful way without using Dems or trump in one of your sentences.
ETA:
It’s so tiresome having Liberal or Conservative parrots hammering the same tired talking point over and over again, injecting it in every discussion. Yes corruption exists. No, this whole war is not some scheme for liberal globalist to launder money. Contribute something new.

Asked a question - ??
Gave example of another option
Gave example of someone using my option.
Democrats have been given kickbacks from Ukraine before.
So explain why you think it was better to give American tax dollars just so another country can sell it's products instead of cutting out the middle man and America just sending weapons. It's not like Russia doesn't know we are already helping Ukraine.

So you can't answer a reasonable question and resort to name calling. Thanks for supporting my statement about this thread.

Anytime
By the way no one is going to waste their time “discussing” this issue with you when your discussion looks like this

Why don’t you think about answers to your questions that go beyond the bounds of your narrow political viewpoint.
We gave what we could from our stockpiles. More than that needs to be manufactured and paid for. Poland is a good choice because they can get them good equipment quickly with a very short travel time. In this case sending money was better than making and paying for stuff here and then shipping it.

You catch a lot of grief. If you had to rate the United States, Ukraine and Russia on a scale of good to sucks, where would the three rate?

I appreciate your answer and I can understand the reasoning behind it but could we not have just paid Poland and they shipped it to Ukraine?

This seems to be the base question you are frustrated you haven't gotten a discussion about. The answer is so basic I assume most people ITT think it wasn't meant for discussion but just to make a political point.
US arms and munitions are expensive. Given the weapon systems the Russians are currently fielding they are also overkill in many areas. US and other Western weapon systems also complicate the Ukranian's logistics systems as well as requiring training to effectively deploy. In limited situations this makes sense like in the case of MLRS and Javelins but makes far less sense with MBTs and IFVs.
As a simple analogy if we were wanting to provide individual weapons which makes more sense sending them M4s and 5.56 or money to buy AKs and 7.62? They can buy more AKs and 7.62 with an equal amount of money vs the value of M4s. So for the same "cost" to the US they get more weapons and ammunition, the AK platforms don't require new training and they don't require a separate logistics channel to provide ammo.
Money is a far more effective option, period.
Money is easier to divert than weapons but just marginally so in that environment. Is stealing and graft and issue, sure, but it is also least likely at a time when a country is literally fighting for its existence.
The remarkably simple answer is in general money is far more effective at helping defeat the Russians than sending US weopon systems and ammunition.
