Not in Donbass. It seems to be a bloodbath.

The Ukrainian attack towards Kherson seems to have made some gains yesterday.
Russians have shelled Sumy again and have regained some territory towards Kharkiv.

While a transportation hub, it is on low ground with high ground just south. Anything moving there can be pounded with howitzers.

The breakaway Georgian territory South Ossetia has canceled its July 17 referendum to join the Russian Empire.

Perhaps the prospect of conscription into the Russian meat grinder has dulled the appetite for Russian citizenship for the South Ossetians.

Oh wow. Yet another aspersion being cast in this thread that some is "pro Russia". If you're not pro-Ukraine, you're automatically "pro Russia".

This is old material. Get some new talking points.

And then there is the red brigade who tell you they are pro Russian. Which one are you?

Mayor of Sievierodonetsk says Russians control half of town

Other reports on Twitter say Ukrainian forces withdrawing from the town. This will put Luhansk under Russian control.

How many of them are there? There are also some flat earthers on this board. One or two of them. I suspect that the numbers of pro-Russia posters are comparable.

I've posted this before. I'm an American. I'm pro-American. If your litmus test for American Patriotism is whether someone is pro-Ukrainian, I don't know what to tell you. You apparently have some like-minded friends in this thread.

Mainstream sites even taking Fox as an example have stopped reporting much on Ukraine. Their expert General Jack Keene is nowhere to be seen on YouTube clips lately. This leads me to believe we are pushing the Ukraine situation to an out of sight, out of mind status. The Ukrainians may be on their own before many more months pass. Newsmax still is reporting on Ukraine.

I don't watch any of these new channels real time. I'm sure it is all Sussman, all the time right now.

My observation too, once the establishment patty of Pelosi and Graham got their 40 billion dollars, they took it and ran.

Coverage waned before that.
It’s been gun this and gun that since Buffalo.
Before that it was Covid this or that. The war had about a two or three week window and it disappeared. That’s why I come to this thread for hard news. I don’t come here to debate politics.

Every story has a shelve life and will be subject to news cycles. This invasion is 100 days old. That’s a long time for any story to dominate American news coverage.

Mainstream coverage of this story will respond to major developments and changes. The battlefield in Ukraine has largely been stagnant for several weeks now but for the Ukrainians driving the Russians away from Kharkiv and the Russians encircling Luhansk.

I get the feeling this will be over in months and not too many months.

It's been on NBC nightly news probably 3 times a week includingast week. What is your definition of mainstream coverage? How long should a news story run when there is a 22 minute time frame to get stories in?
