I just got a letter from the IRS requesting more information. Paying them and the greedy pricks are still busting my arse.

Thanks for the reminder but tasks like these fall into the in-tray of my CFOs and accountants

my wife didn't log in in and cancel our EITC after i asked her to. so i had to write a $1.9k check.
it was fine since we saved it, but Uncle Sam got a decent $30k from me this year between medicare, federal, and SS.
my youngest is politically interested and is really conservative. i've introduced my oldest to Parks and Rec and he regularly responds with Ron Swanson gifs on his phone, so i think i'm getting through to him.

Got Fed in the A like every year. But I'm glad to send a large check to the Feds and state because I know the money is spent rationally and reasonably and not wasted by our government stewards who look out for us as if they were our fiduciaries.

I set aside a couple of grand... And instead of paying got back about a grand. I'm going to put that in a high yield savings account cause not sure I fully trust TurboTax or that I filled it out correctly. I ain't got enough stuff and am W2 employee so I don't think I will be audited. IRS is short staffed too, but I'ma be prepared... good luck baws.

They can take away some of the money he/she would be getting if you file an extension but dont know about a fine?

I’d like to understand how this happens. They sent us money we did not request this year. Essentially a draw on our child tax credit (which, by the way, was also reduced this year), and yet we were hit with an underpayment penalty. Nothing changed on our withholding from 2020-2021. Mind boggling.
Taxes did increase significantly, though. Middle class taking it in the arse once again. None of this Covid bullshite was free. And we we were never the recipient of any free cash. Totally blindsided. Let’s go Brandon.
