Now generally speaking, I know more about this show than any man should know but wife watches it so I get exposed to it.
Apparently, in order to qualify to be on the show at least one person in each couple needs to be batshit crazy, a famewhore, delusional, legally stupid or willing to risk all dignity in pursuit of money, sex or a green card.
Thankfully all of the couples seem to more than meet these qualifications and usually have at least 2 or 3 of the qualities listed.
Its always fun watching a couple where neither speaks the others language. They use translation apps which do not always translate things correctly. Hilarity ensues.
Of course most can communicate on at least a rudimentary level. For instance, Jihoon, a Korean man, was explain to his American wife about the bidet in his families house. He told her it was to " wash a-hole" and proudly proclaimed in English "my whole family anal so clean"
The show has spawn many a spirited conversation with me and the missus. So grab your partner and watch a few episodes. Then report the results here.

I stood next to Pau Mayfield at the Improv in Addison, TX after a Jim Norton show. At the time I did know who she was and was disappointed because I thought she probably had a "pekka" since she was waiting to talk to Jim Norton.

One of our clients is an ole baw who made a lot of money in the timber business and decided to live a little. He meets this Russian chick in London, one thing leads to another, and they decide to get married. He's a HS graduate, she has a PhD. They live in BFE north Louisiana. My wife has a distant cousin that married of those of indoneian women, got her prego, she had the baby and she left him after getting the g card.
He of course found another mail order/internet bride.

this dude is different than most of the ones on this show. he is trying to parlay this into something. he isnt the typical loser on this show that has no shot with women. They are either playing it up for the camera to make money or he is trying to get into the reality scene.
