That perfectly describes how I feel. I still enjoy seeing friends / family there but each time that I go back, I'm a bit excited to be back and see everyone for a day or two. Then, it quickly gives way to..."yeah, now I'm remembering why I left."
Exactly. And it hurts in my heart to admit this is true, because I love my home city and state to the core. I'm Gentilly born, my wife is from the Channel. Our 3 kids were all born in East NOLA. We even lived in Chalmette for about 7 years. None of us want to move back. One daughter is in San Diego. One in Dallas. And our son lives outside Atlanta. We're near Tampa-St. Pete. Life is good for us all. And there's no going back to the NOLA we grew up in. More than Katrina took that all away long ago.

Yeah, you just raised the issue which tore the community apart, an issue which no one cared about until you decided to earn cheap political points.

I actually used to like Mitch Landrieu, but he is pathetic.

exactly...this stunt is causing more problems and is having the opposite effect of what was supposedly intended.

Okay.

As long as we can attach Mitch, Marc Morial, and Ray "Chocolate City" Nagin to one.

Actually it was Odumbf*ck's ancestors who captured them and sold them to slave traders.

Of course, the other option was to eat them.

What about Lafittes? Shut that bastard DOWN for his treatment of wenches and I'm sure he had a slave or two. Disgraceful.

I am sure if he could be asked, his stance on gender and same sex ANYTHING would be terrible. He'd plunder his own bar just for the fact that it's in the gay part. Or whatever gay was called in the 1700's. Lol

They need to be moved to Jefferson Parish and St Bernard Parish right at the Orleans Parish Lines.

June 17, 2015. That was the day an entire party suddenly began to notice anything connected to the past and began to denote it as racist and promoting the vile actions of that bowl cut teenager.

Absolute truth here. The disturbed kid had a selfie of himself on Facebook with a Confederate Flag in the background and all of a sudden the Leftist politicians decided they could use this to satiate the idiots like Strong Safety.

Safe to say, intelligence isn't the raysis losers strong point.

Im still waiting on him to join in on my call to destroy mount Rushmore and recall and redesign our currency. If a little bitty statue triggers him, how can a massive face carved into a mountain not trigger him? How can he go day to day spending money with those bad slave owners on them?

Grow up. You should thank the Confederacy for every breath you take. If not for them you'd most likely have one arm digging in sand for a diamond you couldn't keep.

This whole debacle is nothing more than a revenge tour for Mitch against conservative white folk who ended the Landrieu dynasty by kicking her sister out of the senate and torpedoing any chance at Governor for him and a cabinet spot in DC with Trump winning the White House.

He's turned into nothing but a race baiting sore loser piece of shite on his way out of the door in 2018.

I wish they would shove it up your a&&. How about that as a final resting place? Maybe one up SS a&& to boot? See how it can go in a direction you would never expect. This whole thing is a waste and only divides people so congrats on your racism.

Just give it a rest this ONE time. Can you do that? Just stop, please. I know you're not having fun unless you get the attention, but please. Stop.

I hope he's offered a dollar as high bid. He'll then have to make some hard decisions.
