Lamborghini has created the world's first self-healing sports car. The Terzo Millennio, which translates as third millennium in Italian, has the ability to detect and repair cracks in its body work. Using sensors the car can conduct its own health check to detect any damages and self-repair itself by filling the crack with nanotubes to prevent it spreading.

quote:

The all-electric car is powered by supercapacitors rather than conventional batteries. The car has an energy storage system which allows it to rapidly charge and hold more power than a battery.

So it’s come to this. The Italians are cooperating with the Decepticons and possibly Skynet to take us down.

This whole Russian thing was just a decoy.

Great. So they are teaching machines to heal themselves. This is going to make fighting them during the upcoming machine coup attempt that much more difficult.

The lights on the rim aren’t actually decorative. They’re each individual engines. From the article:

quote:

Each of the car's wheels includes its own integrated electric engine that glow as you drive.

Yeah that thing will NEED to be able to heal itself because it being so goshdamned low, if it hits a slight bump or goes down a slope that doesnt even out gradually its going to explode

This. The body will be demolished if it runs over a brick in the road.

Why do these cars have to be super cars?

You would think while the technology was developing they would make it an affordable sedan.
