I'm not sure I'll be alive to see them finish Verot.
Ain't that the Fk'n truth. How does it take 3 years (and it's still not done) to widen and finish 6 miles of pavement

The AC extension was done mostly through vacant farm fields with zero need to keep traffic flowing as there was no raod to begin with.
Verot construction discovered a lot of old unmarked utilities and there was the pesky issue of trying to keep the existing traffic flowing.

Where are you located? Would the loop make value go up or down?
A couple miles North of Maurice. I would assume that a major route like that would make property values go up in time. More housing will come along that route, along with more retail and food. Right now, it's just cane fields and crawfish ponds mostly.

Is 4 going down East Broussard?
No, 3 crosses E. Broussard. 4 is further South.
ETA: 4 does basically go through the E. Broussard 92 intersection, though.

Why did it take so long? SHV/Bossier has had Non Toll 220 north, 3132 south loops, nice parkways/green space on both sides of Red River for decades....Lake Chuck has small loop too.

Lol if laffy gets a loop before BR
Start laughing... Lafayette will have this studied, built, and will be looking at adding the second half to that loop before BR even agrees on a river crossing location for their so called loop.

Still quicker than it took them to four lane Kaliste Saloom.

It takes half an hour alone sometimes to get from youngsville to 1-10 alone because of the riduclous traffic, lights, etc. This is beyond due
Very true.

However, BR is in much greater need of a loop.
THis was true even if you look at it a decade ago or 2. BR needed a loop then more than Lafayette does now.
The thing is, this is low hanging fruit in Lafayette vs a major undertaking in BR because of the river. Hopefully they can do both. Make a new toll bridge in BR if you need to, I'd pay to avoid that cluster crossing the river.

Lafayette Toll Loop
Needs to be built on the east side first and then afterwards, the west side.
And at $4.00-$5.00 (initial amounts thrown out as a toll) a pop to travel that thing......LOL! Nobody will pay that crap.
Highways and traffic is one of the handful of reasons I wish Louisiana was just like Texas. ESPECIALLY when it comes to toll roads.

They need to make it cheap and worth while for freight companies and individuals. Those southern routes come out right at 90 where a good amount of manufacturing takes place. Most of that stuff is heading to Houston, so those routes would be great.
All of this will help expand Lafayette further West, getting pretty congested in town.

Ambassador Caffery extension to 90 was a new road and didn’t have to deal with traffic during construction. Doing construction safely along a really busy road takes a lot more time.

I’m for anything that will turn Johnston and Ambassador Caffery into less of a clusterfrick at 5pm.

Option 3 looks like it goes through the E. Broussard/Kaliste Saloom intersection. This seems to be a strange place to put a loop, I thought the purpose was to avoid traffic.

I regularly pay more than this to ride on toll roads in Texas. So, not sure how you can wish to be like Texas but be too cheap to pay like Texas.

They have one. It's called the Sunshine Bridge.

Yep, traffic infrastructure needs to be built before it becomes a problem.

Lolz. Clay Higgins has nothing to do with this. He’s more concerned with getting Trump’s Wall built to keep out the bad brown people.
