Gerald is a genuinely nice guy who does a great job with Acadiana Eats showcasing local restaurants. He’s also a cancer survivor who spread a ton of positivity during his battle. The people calling him a douchebag need to look in the mirror.

“Good people” can have douche moments. Someone’s past doesn’t make them impervious to it. It’ll be ok

So it’s ok for the reporter to drive around but nobody else?

Didn’t realize this guy worked for the news as well. I like his IG posts for the most part. He definitely goes a little over board with the Cajun/ebonics dialect but seems like a good dude

Pretty sure he played O-line at Nicholls too.

He’s a little douchy, but seems like a genuinely nice guy.

I thought the use of “bruh” was limited to the internet. His employer should give him a raise for interjecting it several times into a live shot.

That’s Koz’s son. Old Baw grew up in Gentilly above the po boy shop before Katrina. Dad opened up shop in Harahan after the storm and is still there. He made his way DTB to play some tackle football and now does food reviews. He is good people.

Perhaps, but we're not doing it as employees of a news station on live TV

I don't know if he is a douchebag or not, but his delivery annoys the shite out of me.

The national CBS morning show showed the clip this morning right after Passe Partout ended. Its obviously getting a lot attention.

What a drama queen reporter. But they all are so I wasn’t surprised.

They pay these people peanuts now, so the bar to entry has fallen pretty low. Most of the "reporters" in my area are college students or fresh grads who double as videographers, editors, and weekend anchors.

This. My ex wife was an intern about 17 years ago and she found out real fast those local stations don’t give a fuq about your personal life or about paying you. I think the reporters barely made 30k a year and every little natural disaster (hurricane, tornado, flooding, etc) they expected you to be available to cover it didn’t matter if you were off or had committed to something. She got out of that with a quickness. BTW she did intern with Casey Black who would later become Casey Desantis the wife of Ron Desantis. I met her and she was very nice.
