My parents live in Laffy and shop at Rouses and Fresh Market.

I used to live at The Plantation apartments off of Kaliste down the road from the development. I thank God I moved out before that development opened. Turning left onto Kaliste from there was already a pain in the arse.

I always do that. And just keep watching the rates. If the rate drops...I can just cancel and rebook to get the cheaper rate.

This is for labor day weekend as well...so I'm assuming prices for any travel stuff will be higher.

Champagne's is nice since they redid it but their beer prices are higher than even Rouse's.

Whole Foods is my go to for beer. Reasonable prices and the beer doesn't sit on the shelves for months like at Marcellos.

The only restaurant opening I know of is Chuy's on the 22nd.

I've never been to Costco. I don't really like buying in bulk. Am I missing anything?

Ribeye Cap Steak for $17lb. and the pork belly are worth the membership. The 6qt of Mobil1 synthetic for $26 is also nice.

I don't even know which membership to buy.

Get the $105 or whatever it's called. If you shop there regularly, it's worth it.

I feel like such an a-hole when I go into Whole Food's.

I'm excited for Dick's (lol) opening because Academy's clothing selection is shite. Field and Stream may be cool too.

I like Costco 's car buying service. They sell more wine than any other retailer and their private label (Kirkland) stuff is really good. 24 packs of Shiner Bach for $20 bucks does the trick for me. They practically give TV!s away.

No doubt. Costco is awesome/dangerous.

I'll be heading out there for the pre-opening gig. Gonna stuff my face.

Hoping Blaze pizza turns out. Chuy's is awesome, BJ's is pretty good. World of Beers should be pretty cool.

Watched the documentary on CNBC and said most of their revenue comes from memberships, not a gross margin. Their return policy is pretty sweat, but I think lots of people abuse it.

The scenery at Whole Foods is top notch. The bar inside is pretty cool, sadly it probably has the best tap list in Lafayette.

Like others I'm not pumped about the traffic.

I'm going to hold on to my Sams membership for a while until I see how things with Costco and the traffic in that area pan out.

It really is. I'm a huge food snob, but Kirkland's stuff is really good. The chicken tortilla soup is the best store bought dish I have ever had. Plus, they treat their employees on a different level than Slave-Mart. The service is so much better.
