They are going to try and charge them as adults, but I would be surprised if they get to. Especially with the SCOTUS rulings on life sentence's for minors. These two are likely going to juvie and probably to grown up prison for 25 minimum.

Dang. That isn't a bad area.

Is that health club with basketball court, multiple tennis courts, and mosquito breeding pools on other corner still abandoned like it looks on google maps?

That can't be a good thing for those houses next to it.

He's in Angola now. Dude was a cold blooded killer from early on. He passed me in the LSU student Union one Summer day in 1996 when he was about 15, fricking off with two buddies at McDonalds.
He laughed and goes "what up duuuudde?" thinking he was funny.
I shoulda beat him to death right there in front of his buddies.

This is by people leave the south. This shite would be shocking if it happened most places. In Louisiana it’s just another day

I am pretty sure 99% of the people who are aware of this story are shocked as shite.

This does not occur daily in Lafayette, which is why I made the drug comment earlier. Apologies if that's not the case, but it's not often that we randomly have shootings of people who aren't involved in drugs or something of that sort here. This could have just been a case of wrong place, wrong time for this poor kid though.

This shooting is only shocking because of it's location and because the victim was white. No, shootings that result in death are not a daily occurrence in Lafayette. But shootings are a few per week. We are never shocked when it's black people on the northside, yet everyone is shocked and starting go fund me accounts just because it's a white athlete from Comeaux.

Was this white athlete into some sort of illegal activity, selling or buying drugs, did he have a criminal record and hang out with the wrong crowd?

IDK you'd have to ask someone who know the family or the deceased.

And these are mostly due to drugs/other criminal activity.

If it's random, that is a little more concerning than if it's due to criminal activity
