Is it me or is the lack of national news coverage on the flooding lacking?

People who are affected by something like this probably always feel that way.

It was a top story on msn.com if it makes you feel any better.

Election year. The national media is to busy chasing that shitshow around.

Living in Houston now. If I didn't have friends and relatives back home feeding me updates, I would have only heard little bits between the news talking about Trump and Rio

Yes, it is. I post on a couple web sites that are really based up north and Midwest. They really are not hearing about this flood.

It's been covered, but Milwaukee riots and Olympics have definitely taken the lead.

Hardly any national news. ABC had a 2 min (literally) section on it last night before they broke away straight to the upstanding community organizers in Milwaukee.

Same thing happened to Nashville in 2010. The city had a 1000 year flood and most of the country didn't know and doesn't remember.

Why do you care so much about the news covering this?

No political gain to be had from it.

It was the lead on ABC too. But it was way too short like seriously maybe 2 minutes.
Milwaukee thugs got the next 10 minutes. I'm not even joking. Got into a fight with my GF I was so pissed.

I knew it was bad when Saturday evening ODB tweeted out pray for Louisiana and the majority of the responses were what happened. 36 hours into the flooding and the national media had already said their piece saw no clickbait in it and decided to talk about POTUS candidates and their twitter battles.

Speaking of POTUS candidates. Have either of these multi-millionaires who care about middle class working people, you know the ones who are getting the brunt of this disaster, said or done shite? Or are they too busy belittling each other on social media?

The local news here in New Hampshire has been reporting on it nightly.

It is getting a minute or two on the Tampa and Orlando news stations. The are not really going into depth on just how bad it is.

Why do we want to be known as being a disaster area? I'd be happy if nothing was reported nationally about our situation.
