Very highly doubtful.....with the inherent flaws of PRC testing I'd imagine well over half of the asymptomatic cases are false positives.

why would you go out and get tested unless you thought you had potentially it?
I'm not buying the false positive theory

I think what he means by "false positive" is the PCR picking up dead virus or extremely low viral load, especially in vaccinated or immune individuals.
PCR isn't a very helpful test in this stage of things. It doesn't consider viral load for instance, which points to case severity and infectiousness.

ah that makes sense. as long as hospitalizations/deaths do not follow the rising case load, this is being so overblown

I can't explain to you why people get tested but since yesterday there were 32,945 tests given. However, I will submit this as a possibility. Scare tactic work on a shite load of people. These people are scared that if they may have been in contact with someone that had it that they should get tested so they don't expose other people. These leads to dumbasses that was within 20 ft of someone coughing in the grocery store to getting tested. This person has no symptoms and tests positive.
I submit this happens way more than anyone is willing to admit because of the impressive scare tactic campaign of govt controlled health agencies.

If the above doesn't convince you read up on PRC testing, the cycle threshold, and the comparison of chain of custody/cross contamination with DNA testing and how similar it is in that regard. The fact that the cycle threshold for vaccinated people is 25 and the threshold for everyone else is 40 should tell you about all you need to know.
ETA with regards to cross contamination keep in mind exactly how many samples are tested daily...like I said nearly 33K in the last 24 hrs in LA alone.
ETA2 To be fair only 22K of those were PCR test....why anitgen tests are still in use is beyond me....they are at best 50-60% accurate.

yea. overall I do agree with what you're saying and getting tested is like the highlight of the week for some of these people.
I'll prob get tested tomorrow just to confirm.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been tested in the past year. Every time I turn around I’m getting tested for one reason or another… admitted to hospital 3 times last summer and tested every time plus a chest X-ray before I was given a room. Playing in tennis playoffs - get tested. Traveling? Get tested. Got bronchitis, got tested. Had the flu, tested, tested, tested. Tennis sectionals? Tested. School volunteer? Tested.
Negative every time.
Lots of people are tested a lot bc it’s required if you have a hitch in your breath.

When will healthy people stop getting tested? I’ll never get tested. You get the flu, so what?

Why get tested? I just can’t understand the need

quote:I agree. The symptoms seem much more innocuous this go around and I guarantee a lot of vaccinated people aren’t going out to get tested (and I don’t blame them one bit)

At the same, it’s all about the hospitalizations and deaths, not the cases as always should have been. Currently at Touro there are 70 hospitalized patients, less than 5 of those are vaccinated.

The guy who invented it said it should not be used for diagnosis, treatment or anything like this, but research purposes only. (Same guy also said Fauci was full of shite years and years ago.)

So you get it and are part of the 99%, yet you come in contact with someone or ten someones who catch it from you before you are aware or not showing sysptoms and they are part of the 1%. mmmmmk
Huh? As I said, those most at risk (the elderly and those with other health conditions) can take precautions (they can get the vaccine, etc.).
Nothing is stopping any of us from taking precautions or getting the vaccine if we feel we need it. The vast majority of the 1% who don't survive Covid are elderly or those with co-existing conditions. Can I give COVID to those who are most at risk and cause them to die if they're vaccinated?

I made them test for it when I was told I had to get tested for COVID again. I laughed at them when it came back positive.

Who are the assholes still getting tested? If you are not sick, don’t get tested!

95% isn’t even close. More like 60% at best.
