Help me understand this:
1. For Kyle to be found guilty, all 12 jurors must vote guilty?
2. A hung jury means it isn't unanimous? So if 11 of the 12 votes guilty it's still a hung jury?

The verdict has to be unanimous either way. If they are deadlocked and cannot agree, that results in a hung jury.

Correct. Also it works both ways. Guilty has to be unanimous and not guilty has to be unanimous as well.
Any holdouts in either direction = hung jury.
Also, for those freaking out about it being 2 hours, that’s not out of the ordinary. The jury instructions alone were 37 pages. It’ll take more than 2 hours just to get through those. A kid’s life is at stake and if I were the foreman, I’d want to be as meticulous as possible in making sure we were all aware of exactly what we were voting on and to what result.

If I'm being honest with myself I think the jury will compromise for one of the lesser reckless charges of scene 1... Scene 2 hopefully they find self defense.

I'm pretty sure part of the jury instructions were that a valid self defense claim negates the chance of reckless endangerment. They'd have to find him guilty of a homicide charge at a scene to find him guilty of reckless endangerment. I'm not a lawyer, so I could be wrong
