Jury dismissed until tomorrow. In summary: Great direct examination by defense this morning. Prosecution screwed the pooch with a grievous prosecutorial misconduct by questioning Rittenhouse's Fifth Amendment right to silence as suspicious. The prosecution seemed to pick up some steam during the afternoon by calling into question certain moments during the night in question that raise doubts about the defense's self defense argument but probably didn't sway anybody to thinking this wasn't self defense.

The sheltered people ITT cannot quite understand that. The ones alarmed a 17 year old would be out finding excitement.

So you're truly comparing this to a brain-not-fully-developed adolescent walking willingly and unnecessarily into an already volitile situation with a weapon?

Well, I promise you the jury will be asking themselves wtf this kid was doing out there. Don't forget, he has six charges against him...one of which is for possessing a gun under 18yo.

You are the type of piece of shite who justifies a rape saying she was asking for it. Your father should have shot his load against the wall and wishes he did with you being a pathetic excuse for a human being.

My mom finally gave up and said I could do whatever but to please to to find a way to let her know where I was in general, or who I was with.

Then the moms kind of formed a team and started doing detective work. The outcome wasn't pleasant.

I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I think putting Rittenhouse on the stand was a gamble that worked. They must have really, really coached him for it. There’s no way there can be a conviction in all this.

I would agree with that. Prosecution got blown out in the morning but picked it up a little towards the end of the day. Doubtful it was enough to sway the jury on its own.

If kyle doesn’t walk he only has himself to blame.

So, not keeping up with the court case but read the thread. So, guy 1 and 2 are dead, guy 3 was on stand today. Correct me if I am wrong. Guy 1 chased the kid and started to try and beat him to get the gun, he got killed. After KR runs away from the scene because people say get him basically, skateboard kid tries to brain KR with his skateboard. KR kills him. Then guy 3 admitted under oath he pointed his Glock at Kyle and then got shot in the arm for his troubles. Are those the basic facts that have been revealed?

frick no. The prosecution’s own witnesses proved the self defense case.

This is like trying to run plays instead of just kneeling it out.

Well this blew my day....

I can resist, but putting him on the stand... I had to watch.

I don’t think there is any evidence that he tried to beat him, but he allegedly threatened him more then once prior and tried to take his gun from him, before he was shot.

That’s what I’ve gathered.

Here’s why it works: it shows Kyle off as human. Again I wouldn’t have done it, but sometimes when you make a gamble that’s not likely to work, it really works and was worth it. I can’t imagine a member of the jury having any other feelings but annoyance and disgust for the prosecution’s horrific shite show today.

Kyle is guilty of not staying in a situation where people are actively trying to kill him

I disagree. The goal is to beat the charge. Not have people like you or feel bad for you.

From what I saw today him being on the stand has been neutral at best for his case.

I still think he walks, but if he doesn’t it’s 100% because of his testimony today.
