..but why?

Sometimes I put a panko bread crumb topping on it.

And sometimes on holidays I do the mac &cheese ahead of time and bake it before serving.

Texture matters. It doesn't have to be pure, creamy goodness.

Last batch I made had crispy bacon crumbles in it.

yes it does

I've just had way too many dry, bland, baked mac and cheeses that I immediately get turned off as soon as someone pulls it out of the oven

I promise you, brother, I put enough butter and cream in it that you would never have anything resembling dry or bland. I just like to add a bit of crunch to the bite.

I'll be honest, I just buy the Palmetto pimento cheese. I add bacon, jalapenos, and just a dash of balsamic vinegar. Everyone who has tried it scarfs it down like it was the elixir of life.

My toddler has definitely woken up saying he wants mac and cheese at like 6 am, so he will be excited about this.

When one thinks about it, how is it any worse than eating donuts, sugary cereal, sweet rolls, biscuits, etc for breakfast.

Breakfast should be fruits, veggies, etc.

Hate eggs.

While I love Mac and cheese, I have some ridiculous reaction to it and I end up thinking I have cancer.

If you think that's gross, I had a roommate in college that put ketchup on his scrambled eggs every morning.

Training kids to pound back 1,275 calories for breakfast can’t be a bad idea.
