Know what is worse than sheltering in place? Doing so with no power.

We haven't had power in our house in Nashville since Sunday afternoon. And we can't go anywhere to get away. No bars, no restaurants.

And we have teething toddler and my wife is pregnant.

Our friend, thankfully, doesn't give a shite about social distancing from us and is letting us move into her guest room tonight.

3 of the most miserable days I can remember. My dog and my friend Basil Haydens are the only things keeping me together mentally.

Storms, baw.

130,000 people in Nashville without power at one point. Still around 70,000.

I'll vote for whomever has control over George Bush's weather machine.

At this point, I'm just expecting a nice sting from a murder hornet.

That sounds miserable. Any time frame to getting it back?

Some nasty storms in our area later, there is a possibility of hail and tornadoes, but I'm hoping we just get some rain.

As taxing as this shutdown has been, it pales in comparison to the two weeks after Katrina.

Come over to Murfreesboro. Several restaurants and bars are open. Limited, but open.

Good call. We did a weekend in between Sevierville and Pigeon Forge two weekends ago.

Prices are fairly reasonable right now and the change of scenery was much needed.

Leaving tonight to go stay with a friend.

We stayed because temperatures have made it livable and it's just a huge pain in the arse to go anywhere with a toddler and a dog. But we're at the end of our rope.

And I'm venting here because I won't vent at home to spare the wife. I'm all sunshine and rainbows at the house
