You're a mouth breather. (don't worry, so am I)

The irony with these responses is that Kip was the best mayor for all the white parts of Baton Rouge that the city has had in our lifetimes. He was relatively scandal-free, put so much effort into infrastructure (highway extensions) for south baton rouge even though its something we usually suck at. He kept taxes low and the city-parish had the best credit rating of any municipal government in Louisiana.

Don't blame me, I voted for Holden over sloppy, nasty Nungesser for Lt Gov.

Same, only Democrat I’ve ever voted for. I would honestly vote for him over a large amount of “republicans” in this state.

If the Lt. Gov position had any power other than being a glorified Tourism rep and was not actually just a ceremonial position, Kip Holden vs Fat Pinky Billy Nungesser would've been a very difficult decision to make.

Likely would've left that ballot blank.

Whoa now.

Kip was a great Mayor for BR but let's not get ahead of our skis.

Tara Wicker is the candidate WE all should consider in the next election.

Agreed but she has the stench of whitey on her. No way she can get the NBR vote. She's out of the club.

Your are misinformed about term limits and Kip already used his up.
Kip Holden, was term limited as he was in office for the maximum terms you can be mayor.

He is a great salesman and knew how to work the crowds. His time came and gone.

Kip is too smart to want any of the crap he'd have to deal with in EBR today.

The Kip Holden/Walter Monsour combo was the best thing to happen to BR. They were great together

No, liberals are the problem and if you can't see that, then i can't help you.

However, that being said, in Baton Rouge, we aren't getting anything but a Democrat for mayor. And Kip was about as good as we can get in terms of not being a leftist liberal and actively destroying the city like Broome.

Wicker, although a Democrat, seemed like a decent human being, which Baton Rouge apparently, can't have. It's sad, when we are willing to settle for at least a decent human being, and even that isn't possible with the march towards leftist progressivism.

Everything shitty going on in this country, is because of the long march to leftist totalitarianism. Name a governmental problem, and it's got a 99% chance due to liberalism.

And i don't advocate for Republicans either. They are part of the ruling class. I advocate for conservatism and personal responsibility, and pushing against woke-ist liberals at every turn.

He did whatever the elites told him to do. That is the reason he came down hard in a public address on the instant crime in the days immediately after Katrina with NOLA's "finest" doing the same thing that is going on in San Francisco right now pilfering anything they could get their hands on even from purses of customers inside of bank lobbies, though just a smoke and mirror sort of thing.
