I'm against the death penalty because although there are absolute savage animals out there who do unspeakable things to other human beings, I just don't believe humans should ever determine in a pre-meditated way that another human should die. That should be left up to God.

This doesn't even touch the issue of many innocent people on death row who are put to death for crimes they didn't commit. The world just saw a former president get charged with and convicted of 34 felony charges brought on by really shady methods and truth-stretching - if that could happen to him, how easy do you think it would be for a DA and state prosecutor who have their minds made up that a regular man or woman like us is guilty to convince others they are as well?

All that said, if someone I love is God forbid ever the victim of a heinous crime, it would be difficult for me to resist the undeniably massive urge to take matters into my own hands in a fit of rage.

Being against the death penalty is tough for me sometimes, but I know it's the way God intended.

I'm also against abortion for the same reason.

shite like what Kamala Harris pulled in California (withholding exculpatory evidence clearing a death row inmate) has certainly shaken my limitless belief in the death penalty. What keeps it in place for me was the fact that my cousin's murderer was finally executed here in GA and I HATED seeing that a-hole Troy Davis whine and cry that he was innocent. It also pissed me off royally that certain witnesses were induced to recant in a blatant attempt to muddy a very solid case.

So God made civil government to avenge evil.
