These animals are crazy smart.

Not related to Killer Whales, but I have been watching/reading about crows lately. They are amazingly smart birds. The New Caledonian Crow, especially, because it has even learned to use tools to hunt for grubs and other bugs. It can even use three or four tools (different shaped sticks and whatnot) in succession to get to its prey. All crows are incredible problem solvers.

I've been in a kayak with them 200-300 yds further out. I was sticking pretty close to the shore

I stay inland so have no fear of killer whales nor sharks, rays, other deadly sea life.

Where were you?

I’ve had dolphins swimming around within a few feet of me in a kayak when fishing offshore in Florida. But they were just hanging around to be assholes and try to steal your fish as you reeled in. Not nearly as cool as orcas

Ravens are brilliant and about twice the size of a crow. Really funny animals to watch.

You missed the lost interesting part of this gif:

The most interesting part is that the orca baited the bird using a fish he spit out.

That’s nuts that he baited the bird.

We get them chasing harbor seals in the channel at times, really cool to watch. I took this in Nov 2018

You get tired of fish after a while. I wonder what he would have done if he'd had a hankering for a big fat juicy steak.

Statistically, you are more likely to die in a car accident than be killed by a killer whale.
