Reminds me of Budd Dwyer's suicide. Long story short, he was a Pennsylvania Treasurer under investigation for bribery. Facing a long prison sentence, he called a last press conference where he was expected to resign. He did - with a 357 Magnum, cameras rolling.
The amazing thing to me is how calm he was throughout his final speech.
