I agree. Highly doubtful empathy and understanding ever resides in their hearts though. First off they’re teens. Most likely teens from well connected families. The comments on this thread are indicative of how they will never have empathy or understanding because they are most likely surrounded by people who will say “boys being boys” and they will only hear the anger and not why there is anger.

Free speech has never been free from repercussions. One can say anything they damn well please, they have no right to expect others to not have an opinion on their speech. Anyone can tell their boss she’s a fat bitch…freedom of speech….but when their boss fires them for their saying it everyone on the planet will conclude “well yeah, what’d you think was going to happen”. Rarely have humans not enjoyed free speech….almost impossible to prevent someone saying something. It’s always been about the aftermath…we can say anything we please and people can react how they will… this is simply life.

From one of her last posts… putting a lot of weight on these kids being a symbol of bigger issues.
If they are in fact terrible, then I hope they have some sort of come to Jesus moment that helps them but I’m still very slow to say that is expulsion and loss of scholarships etc…. I remain with that they are dumb kids and need to learn a lesson not have their futures rug pulled
