Coffee is a diuretic. Should help with stones.

I have had three bouts with kidney stones. First time I was night flighted off a rig in the Gulf. Thought I was dieing. Second couple of times were 12 years later. Knew what it was then. Did the Lithotripsy procedure twice to get rid of them.

Had a big old one removed last year by Dr Thomas at Tulane it took 2.5 hours to get that mother out. Having a stent for a month after was as bad as the stone. When you think you drank enough water drink some more

Pain got so bad I drove myself to ER. The symptoms presented as diverticulitis. When they did CAT scan they found it 9mm kidney stone blocking my kidney. They had to put a stent in to drain my kidney and take pressure off it. I will have the procedure where the break it up this week.

This exact situation happened to me 3 weeks ago. But, when they went in for the 2nd procedure to remove it, it had RETURNED TO THE KIDNEY!
They took out the Stent and sent me home. If when it comes back out, we'll deal with it then.
I'm still feeling discomfort...I plan on finding another urologist for 2nd set of eyes on this.

I've had 4 in my lifetime and yes, they suck hard

However, if you want relief, go buy a big bag of lemons and make lemon concentrate and drink the shite out of it. The acids in the lemons will help reshape the stones or even break them up.

Profit!

I passed an 8mm stone a couple months ago. Took 3 days to pass. Litho on a 12mm stone few weeks later.
Good Times.

The stent and stent removal to me was worse than passing a stone naturally.

the Stent was the worst for me as well - so painful when peeing. and the removal was not cool.

I told the nurse who removed it she was lucky, usually a woman had to buy dinner for me 1st. the doc asked if i had concerns - I said yes, I am afraid she won't respect me in the morning.

Kidney stones a bitchh

My Mom still tells the story of my Pops "embarrassing her" at the hospital years ago, before I was even born. She tells about him being in the waiting room of the ER and rolling in the floor. She said he did the same thing in the room. He just couldn't, or wouldn't, sit or lay. That's a man who had dealt with some serious pain over his life. When having a heart attack later in life, the nurse asked his pain level "1-10". Pops said, "Oh....maybe a 4." The nurse said, "Really? Because you're having a heart attack." Pops told her, "Ma'am you don't know just how bad I've hurt in my life."

the main issue with the kidney stone attack is the pain is relentless, like Nandor. you cannot stand, lean, lay, sit or any other variation to help - you just have to deal with it as best you can till it stops moving - which is amazing, cause it goes from pain to nothing almost immediately.

i hate the back spasms i get after the pains stops.

I had a 6 week stent in during my 10mm stone. It had fused to my urethra and the pain I felt when they pulled it out is indescribable. It far far surpassed child birth.

I have to get a stent removed in 2 hours. I should not be reading all of this.

If you’ve had it in for awhile take painkillers in advance. I wish I had known that.

I have a mix I make (along with Apple Cider vinegar) that I drink twice a day. No more kidney stones (and I drink four cups of coffee daily). Research YouTube. Lots of videos on the benefits of the two together.

You'll be back. It's amazing how quickly you forget the pain and go back to life as normal.
I've said the same thing many times before.

Let me know when they give you a uretal stint from your bladder to the kidney.

Not sure which is worse… the kidney stone or being violated in such an awful way. Kinda think I would have preferred the stone pain.

Stent was the worst for me

I’ve had 2 stones and since I only have 1 kidney both have required emergency surgery. The stent is one of the worst parts. Imagine have a straw pulled out of your dick. That is what it’s like when removed.

Second time I had it done the doc asked if I minded if some med students watched. I said fine and 2 guys and a girl watched him pull it out. 1 word for the guys reaction “Horrified “
