I was in the ER with one and I wasn’t quite able to suppress the screaming in agony.

Doc came over and said “ what’s all the noise about buddy?”

My wife said she saw my fist ball up and me start to come off the table. My brain engaged and said “don’t kill him, unless he doesn’t order painkillers…then it’s ok”

So he has no idea how close he came to needing the ER.

After the first shot he comes back about 15 minutes later, still hurting like someone is sawing through my spine with a very dull knife. Looked at the nurse, asked her if she’d given me the shot, she said yes.

“Hit him again”, morphine shot #2

About 15 min he’s back again, no change. Asked the nurse, she nodded. Said “you are in bad shape aren’t you? Give him a shot of Toredol (probably botched the spelling on that).

Saw the nurse push the syringe in the IV, woke up a day later.

That stuff is fantastic when one hits.

you are so right - no man should ever have anyone have to go up that 1 way street. it is how they did mine
