Your opinion. He quit baseball because he has a love for football even more. And FYI, I didn’t make my youngest attend all my oldest sons tourneys.

So you think it’s OK for a coach to keep 15 1617 kids on a tournament team and they all pay the same amount of money whereas four or five of those kids hardly ever see the field?
Eta. 13 kids on a youth travel ball or even REC team is one too many if you want to have equal and fair playing time.

The league either makes more teams, or divides into 2 divisions. simple fix,.

You caught some heat and kids getting cut can be a good thing, nothing wrong with that, but I’ve never hear of having cuts at age 11 for baseball. I’m sure it’s been asked and answered, I assume this is some type of travel ball, and not a rec league?

This sounds like it’s a private travel/tournament ball team.

I have to admit I retired from coaching before travel ball got hot. Don't really want to spend the time ascertaining how I would feel about it, but I'm lucky in that all my sons were really good at baseball.
I know nothing about "private" teams, really speaking of "league" based little league, dixie, etc.

The coach is a pussy for not speaking with your son and giving him things to work on and encouragement.
