He'll prob get in trouble for telling the bus driver no and not listening to her. It's one thing to fight back but another to ignore an adult.

At my school, he would get a talking to along with the other little bastard. Then, if they shook hands like menfolk, they would sit for recess for a day. End of problem.

Fake news.
4 year olds don't ride the bus.

Of course.
Don't worry about the situation... It's not a big deal as long as everyone lets it stay that way.

Have him tell the principal that his grandpa has been stockpiling weapons and to be careful with the punishment he chooses.

When kids don't listen to adults there is a problem. Kids don't have the option to tell adults, "no", regardless of the situation on a bus.

Hard to fault that logic.
I was going to fault him for disobeying, but that gets him off the hook.

I had a similar event.
12 yr old took my 3 yr old sister seat at front row in movie. I was 7.
She complained to me on her way to go to back row.
I was in seat exactly behind 12 yr old. Lights go down. I got up and put choke hold on 12 yr old and sat down, still around his neck with forearm. He screamed for help. Lights go up. I am not letting go. Adult gets to me and inquires wtf.
I explained. My sister got seat back. No one said boo to me after.
Navy ship. All military kids on way to far east bases.

It will go on his “permanent record” and he’ll never get into college, won’t get a job, and his credit will be fricked. You might as well start saving for rehab costs.

The period of interrogation and remorse is key.
It wont happen again. Just make sure that bully learns his lesson.
Parent should be in meeting

I think the 9 year old showed a lot of restraint in not bringing his concealed carry into play.

Find the little shite who started it and tell him if he touches you grandson again you will rip off his arm and beat him with the bloody end. Scare the crap out of him. End of problem.

Pretty sure the only role of the grandpa here is to pat the kid on the back and say he did right.
If he gets punished, buy him a PlayStation or whatever the current thing is.

The only fault I find with your grandson was that knuckles weren't checked prior to the arm twisting, which could have been disastrous.
