I guess start with kids giving adults lap dances and then expand from there
Seems a touch problematic, no?

So if his picture hadn't been taken, it wouldn't be fireable? If this had happened in the days before social media, when "kids could still goof off" without worrying about going viral, it would have been okay?
You’re not pulling together the totality of what I said. I clearly said the point at which this became wrong was the sexualized dancing the students performed upon the various school staff members.
That alone should get a principal fired. But being dumb enough to get your photo taken smirking and not putting a stop to it just makes it that much easier for the school board to terminate your position.

Probably because that's not what you said.

I’ve made several points and they’re documented in case you want to review them. I’ll re-state with a bit more elaboration on what I mean:
1. Teenage kids need to use better discretion. This was probably just a typical “pretty boy” contest that a lot of high schools do but they probably decided to go off script and incorporate sexual dance moves. These boys probably wanted to clown around to make the girls in the audience laugh and show off their bodies.
You can’t do that. Parents are not going to abide by the sexualization of high school students. And videos go viral instantly. You can get yourself and a lot of other people in trouble.
2. The principal used poor judgment. Should have reviewed the program before it started and given a zero tolerance policy for anything lewd that was performed. Instead, he’s clearly documented taking part in the program.

If (1) is true, then (2) wouldn't have helped. There is also a prior restraint issue there.
Your issue still seems to be more with parents and "documentation' on social media than with the principal participating in simulated sex acts with students.

Wow, he threw away a lot because of bad judgment. Hazard is a nice town and the high school is excellent.

If he’s lucky with the school board, they could allow him to stay on until the end of the academic calendar. They could justify it as “we could not find a replacement to immediately fill the position.”
Don’t know how this will affect his job as mayor.

I’m not okay with them, but I wouldn’t put them on par with what Jerry Sandusky did. This is more like locker room behavior. Granted, it’s the type of locker room behavior that schools have tried to weed out the past 30 years, but it still falls more under the category of “horse play” than “sexual assault.”

I just don’t think the students were ever in danger of being assaulted by the principal. The students initiated it, and the staff members photographed are only *barely* participating. But parents have a right to the peace of mind of never even having to suspect that that would ever be on the mind of their principal or any other staff member at school.
You just can’t tolerate anything sexualized in the school setting if you’re a staff member. It’s more of a parental peace or mind issue.

Straight guys dressing in drag used to be a wholesome and hilarious thing.

We’ve gone back in forth on this so much that I’ve lost track of where I said it, but I’m 99% positive that I said “the principal should have put a stop to it rather than participate in it.”

I remember the football team doing this during homecoming week. The girls would play the powder puff game and the boys would be the cheerleaders/have a pageant. It was for entertainment, though. Not to make a statement.
