Yeah. It's also a black hole of cheap mortgage and low taxes with A good school. So it's hard to leave once stuck.

I always get the made in Vietnam air max 95s. The Vietnamese treat their workers much better than The Chinese.
Though lately I've been wearing Sketchers. A brand I never thought I would wear, but they are very comfortable.

The lone Democrat in the city government(and ironically the most socially conservative councilman) put out a memo too.

Which is a poor use of taxpayer funds, but I don't live in Kenner, so my opinion is irrelevant.

Uhhh.....Isn't this government telling government what they can and cannot buy?

It is stupid but has nothing to do with the government telling people what can or cannot buy.

If true then frick them. They should be looking for the most reasonably priced items and not be concerned with politicizing rec sports. Spend the citizens money in the most responsible manner possible. If its Nike, then so be it. If they want to take a stand personally against Nike, take out a political ad, put it on social media, or shout about it at a political event. I personally won't be buying any more Nikes. There are more options available that don't conflict with my political ideals. Of course, I wont do that until I have worn out the Nikes I currently own. This smells of political opportunism which, at least to me, reeks of bad governance. Just my .02.

This.

And the thing about it is, these companies and politicians don't really care about the greater good. They strategically build these issues up because it appeals to certain demographics then they capitalize on it.

Both parties do it, companies do it in their marketing, lobbyist groups do it get people worked up because when people are emotional about something, they are more likely to give money towards it. Sort of the same thing televangelist do. The scary part is that so many people buy into the shite, one way or the other.

If you are conservative and won't buy anything against your values you will be severely limited, especially in regard to entertainment, technology and food.

There's certain principles that just can not be compromised. If you come from a family of veterans you may feel different.
