He flat out said why he left in his last special. In the extra content he does a q&a with the audience and answers the question directly. It was over money.
dave has given multiple interviews on it since he quit, he has given a few different reasons why he quit and this has evolved over the 17 years since it happened. now he is saying it was just about money? ok
Yeah Dave's reason for leaving was very clearly the "for the wrong reasons" thing that you quoted earlier in the thread. I didn't think that was ever disputed. Regardless of what he says the reasons were now, that's definitely why he left initially. That was very public information back then.
(Yes I know it's an old thread)

Wait, is he saying Puff Daddy offered him $50 million to have sex with him? Because I don’t buy that for a second.
10 years ago, if I told you that a wealthy financier had a secret island in the Caribbean that the likes of Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, royalty from Europe, etc all spent time at, would you have bought that?
What if that financier had been arrested, and then committed suicide under the most absurd circumstances ever? Would you have bought that?
Some powerful people drunk on their ego and power with endless bankrolls, know no limits.

Right, I'm not disputing that Puffy is/was a freak, But back then Puffy was worth what, maybe half a billion? I'm just saying it's doubtful he would have offered to pay KW a tenth of his net worth just for some tiny booty. Just seems implausible.

Maybe that's the reason hes not a multi billionaire, he spends it.
He probably earns close to 100 mil a year just on his alcohol brand.

I dont know about those claims. But he told Shannon he hits driver just a little over 200 yards and has a solid short game. I kinda believe him there.
can someone give me a time stamp
If that's his golf claim while also claiming a 4.3 forty and 3000 books I have to tip my hat to him. He's on a Norm Macdonaldesque bit. Kinda like Wilt Chamberlain claims.

I don't know who this "Katt" is but this rings a bell, is he the dude that wanted to race Steven Riddley in a 40 and blew out his hammy?

Possible that he planned to sign him to some type of deal/contract/etc vs just handing 50 mil cash.

Puffy wasn’t using his money. He was government asset used to blackmail celebrities.

That was Kevin Hart
I think Katt saying he "still runs a 4.3 forty" was an analogy of his stand up career meaning that he's still on top of his game and writing new material rather than being taken that he literally runs a 4.3. Since Shannon was the host he made a lot of analogies to football for Sharpe, like when he was asked if he ever bombed or was booed off stage he asked Sharpe if he ever dropped a pass for example.
