4000 pages of emails from the DA Micheal Morrisey have been released. The emails came from his official DA email and a personal email.

Here's most of the linked article.
Extensive records involving official business that Norfolk County District Attorney Michael Morrissey sent from and received at a personal email account were released Friday under a records request filed in connection with the high-profile Karen Read case.
The released records, which NBC10 Boston is reviewing, are 4,102 pages long. They have been partially redacted.
Some of the emails show that Morrissey frequently used his private account to share news articles with his colleagues, including about the Read case, like when she first hired high-profile defense attorney Alan Jackson.
Morrissey regularly used the address to flag events around the community so his staff members could send sympathy cards.
He also shared posts by Aidan "Turtleboy" Kearney, one of Read's most vocal supporters, championing her innocence throughout both trials, and Morrissey's most vocal critics. The Norfolk District Attorney's Office is prosecuting Kearney for alleged witness intimidation tied to the Read case, which is how the personal email address came to light in the first place.
Last year, Morrissey complained to a judge through the private email account that a courthouse employee had leaked information to Kearney. That led Kearney's lawyers, and then Read's, to seek the emails while their cases wound through Massachusetts court system, claiming that Morrissey was seeking to discuss matters in a way that would avoid avoid having to be turned over to defense lawyers or made public.
Read's lawyers argued that using the private email was “extremely concerning and raises concerns about the integrity of this prosecution,” and Kearney told NBC10 Boston at the time, "He did that on purpose so that it wouldn't come up in public records searches because he doesn't want the public to know what he's doing."
Asked for comment on the filings at the time, Morrissey's office had said any response would be made in court, citing the pending case.
NBC10 Boston was reaching out to Morrissey's office about his use of the private account to conduct official business.
After Kearney's allegation, in October, NBC10 Boston requested "any emails sent by and to District Attorney Michael Morrissey’s personal iCloud account for official duties as district attorney." The Norfolk District Attorney's Office spent months working to fulfill the request.
Morrissey has kept a low profile in the wake of Read's acquittal on the most serious charges against her over the death of her boyfriend, Boston Police Officer John O'Keefe, this June.
NBC10 Boston sought a comment for two days by phone, email and in-person visits to his office, at which point a representative for Morrissey emailed to say, "There will be no statement from the DA or the office regarding Commonwealth vs Karen Read."

It is being reported that Kelly Devers has resigned from the Boston Police Department.

I think the people of Boston can sleep better tonight knowing this information. One less arrogant crooked cop on the street. That juror’s remark about being concerned about her with a firearm was amazing and didn’t help her situation.

Article says sources report she walked in and handed over her badge and gun which is “not how officers usually resign”. I guess she had to have another dramatic tantrum before she left. Not a loss for the BPD.

I am surprised it took this long. After she took the stand, she pissed someone off. I am just guessing here, but I bet at some point.. They were not going to do it right away because it would have been too obvious, so when things settled down and people moved on they started giving her a raw deal somehow. Maybe shite shifts all the time, putting her on assignments no one wanted.. all of the time. Things like that.
Or in some capacity she was told "officially you are going to resign". But you never know, it seems like all the police.. Boston PD and the police in surrounding areas can get away with a lot of things.. As long as they "go through the proper channels". Her resigning being a "proper channel".

She's clearly unstable.
Ironic thing is that Canton PD put her on the Brady List but Boston PD as of today, still hasn't. Which I suppose at this point in time doesn't matter, but it could affect any outstanding/pending cases she's involved in.

Public records are being released regarding the expenses of the Commonwealth during the trial of Karen read.
A few bullet points I’ve heard so far. A PI was hired to dig up something on Daniel Wolfe and his wife. They also had an investigator tracking the social media of all prospective jurors then the selected jurors during the trial.

It still amazes me how badly they wanted her gone. Truly, this should be taught as a class in law school on how deep corruption runs and how far they will go. Still waiting for someone to start talking. The only thing criminal at this point is that the people in that house are out living their lives knowing what happened to John without consequences.

I don't follow enough cases to really make this type of statement, but this was.. is one of the most interesting cases I have kept up with. When you look at it from where they were at the start line and then where it was when the trail ended.
It went from "Did Karen Read murder her boyfriend" to "It looks like her boy friend was killed by someone else and she was set up. Its easy to assume there was some police corruption going on. He was likely attacked by a dog".
When the trail was over, there were more questions than answers.

I'm interested on the board's take on the civil suits both on the O'Keefe's suit as well as the impending civil suits KR and her team are going to drop on Morrissey and more than likely a host of several others.
Billy Bush did an interview with KR's dad and KR popped in to the webcam essentially stating they are going balls to the wall.
KR makes an appearance

I think they should all drop it.. I'd be exhausted with courts if I were her. Especially knowing how corrupt the system is over there.

The civil suit against KR is a pile of garbage that shouldn't go anywhere.
KR should absolutely sue the state of Mass for everything and anything.

You think KR should drop her upcoming suits? She needs to be made whole IMO and several people are going to pay due to said corruption. The Commonwealth should be looking into a settlement offer b/c it will cost them far more in a trial.

Not a chance. The state ruined her career, financial future, and reputation. Its impossible to even put a price on that.
She should be paid lots of money and quite a few people should be fired.
