What's weird is that not long ago drugs were considered extremely trashy for greeks. Sure you had the coke heads in a few fraternities, but pot was looked upon as something for dirty hippies. Guys caught doing drugs were kicked out. Nobody wanted that around the house.

Sure wasnt that way in the 90's

Late 80's and early 90's, the few that got caught were run off fast. Like I said, there were a few chapters with party drugs, but that was the exception. Druggies had a tendency to care more about their drugs than anything or anyone else. Nothing else really mattered, and its hard to run any organization with people like that, especially with greek affairs always looming in the background.

Its different today, and the chapters are getting shut down over and over again. You get a few more people dying, and they won't reopen.

This has been ongoing since probably October or so. I'm surprised they've kept it under wraps so well.

Word is that DKE just had an off campus OD death during the break. It didn't get any coverage that I saw but would explain campus clamping down.

I'm about 90% sure he died on-campus, but I do know there was an OD in Tigerland about two weeks ago.

I can't name a single fraternity down south that even remotely respects their nationals and vice versa.

I'm curious how strictly they enforce underage drinking rules.

As a Kappa Sig alum from Lambda chapter in Knoxville, this saddens me. But not really because most fraternities now have become really pussified.

Nationals hates the southern chapters that still love to haze and rage.

I know nothing about kappa sig except that they were basically eliminated (banned?) when i was at UGA and are now working their way back.

(don't know the proper term for what actually happened, sorry)

The Kappa Sigs in the 80's and 90's didn't play any games though.

frick you ~95 LSU KS who picked on Leroy(long time Northgates area street musician) outside of Murphy's and then let 6 members beat up the 2 guys who defended him.

Sounds like they were either suspended or had their charter revoked. I never new anything about GA Kappa Sigs. I know the guys at LSU were cool and the guys at Bama were cool when we went down there.
