The fans, wearing KC colors, were there to see a football game ... not a unit ceremony or a SJW expression of personal opinion.
If they wanted to see a leftist political rally, they could attend one. They wanted to see a professional football game.

The moment they started cancelling people for saying All Lives Matter (as opposed to just disagreeing and moving on) I knew there was about 500x more things going on with BLM than just black lives mattering.
That was early on.
Facts regarding not only the violence and destruction, but also the funding in and out, Marxist principles, and myopic apathy to other real problems and positive goals, have shown clearly what BLM is all about.

How about this beauty? How do you even support such a comment or position? Seems a little afar even for Disney.

I agree, and that’s hard to ignore. It’s pure agenda driven, as if anyone has to be shown that anymore. What’s truly discouraging though, is how many were so easily led to buy into it. They barely even put up a fight.
I heard a gentleman on the radio the other day compare all of this to the social media driven need for people to be accepted. The worst thing you can do to them is to not accept them, and they feel isolated. That’s a really sad indictment on a society that not only doesnt think for itself anymore, but cares much less for being right as it does being accepted.

Telling customers what their feelings should be? No
Telling customers how to act? Every company ever. It even says on the back of the tickets you will be removed for XYZ behavior.
Pretty sure he wasn’t referring to prohibiting certain conduct, but continue being obtuse.

I didn't think what the NFL did was all that bad. No one kneeled. HOU stayed in the locker room during the national anthem which all teams should have always done. And KC stood, then after that, both teams united and did a little thing. They didn't go overboard with it. I rarely watch the national anthem, I am doing shite. I always start watching right before kickoff.. As in, when they are running on the field.
Last night was the first time since the pandemic that I was truly excited to watch sports.

But why tho. They weren't even kneeling, they were standing up. So what's the big deal.

What to tell Black Coworker.
Tell him that football cuts into your (insert commitment here). Once you say that, there is no need to ever say anything different, perhaps to occasionally repeat what you said accompanied with a look that asks the question, "Do you not remember what I said two weeks ago."
Suggestions:
Family time.
Bible study.
Car hobby.
House cleaning.
Hunting shows.
Fishing shows.
Car maintenance.
Porn watching.
Sex with wife.
Stamp collecting.
TD
Whatever - there are thousands of things you can tell him are more important.
Also you can ask him why he is trying to pull you away from the important things in your life (Like reading TD-OT

These things interest me and I think reforms are necessary but you forgot to mention the injection of critical race theory into every aspect of our lives.

Reparations are still a fringe idea, to some extent.
"Reeducation" is not. You can't walk into a Barnes & Noble without seeing a book called "White Fragility." That's a mainstream idea and it's provoking a backlash.

Yeah, and turning those things into a racial thing is setting us back terribly in these areas.

The minute the NFL starts losing revenue, this shite will go away like Covid after Election Day.
But I don't care. They've already sent their message to "white throwbacks" like me.
Here's my message to them:

Based on what?
The emphasis on the traffic stop is stupid. It's a relic of a time when motor travel was the province of rich adventurer types. Do you think people on horseback were getting pulled over in the 19th Century? The whole concept is anathema to our original guiding principles.
Too much ordinary conduct has been criminalized. Smoking dope, driving 85 miles per hour on the interstate, and frankly even driving after a couple of beers should not be the province of the police.
quote:
Based on what?
This basic disconnect I highlighted - that too much ordinary conduct has been criminalized - is even worse for blacks. The mores of the black community are even more disconnected from the laws given to the cops to enforce than the mores of the white community are.
It should not be a crime to possess guns and marijuana at the same time. That is ordinary, ethical conduct in a lot of places. Fighting in school should not result in police involvement.
People should not lose their driving privileges just because they can't pay a ticket or let their liability insurance lapse. Driving is necessary for life in the USA and by any reasonable standard ought to be protected under the Fifth Amendment. Again: before the advent of the automobile, was anyone banned from riding a fricking horse?
I could go on, and people will pick nits with the laws I've highlighted, but the bottom line is that there are too damned many laws and they just distract the cops from upholding older and protecting property, which ought to be their focus.

It was probably not the best time period to be caught riding one you were accused of stealing.

I imagine there are ways that could happen, but the larger issue is that our rights don't end at any sign they might be dangerous. And all you're doing is repeating the flawed arguments that have us where we are: we're the most incarcerated nation in human history and there's rioting in the streets. Hey, enjoy your safe highways, though.
