I think policing in this country is completely broken and that black people bear the brunt of that- like they do with a lot of issues that are not, at their root, racial.
So if the movement were purely "reform the police" or even "defund the police" I'd be on board. But if you read the stated positions of the main, central BLM group (and there is one- I asked here), the part about the cops is just the foot-in-the-door for a big, leftist narrative. It's the typical crap about how this country was built on oppression and genocide and is in need of reeducation and a bunch of monetary transfers.
