No sous vide with a dehumidifier that extracts pure water from the atmosphere?

Masterbuilt gravity series, came out 3 years ago. Same concept, half the price.
The difference is the masterbuilt is a piece of crap that wont last unless you baby it.

I think people aren’t that impressed because everything built into this cooker has been available for years separately and would work with almost any smoker. It’s definitely flashy but not such a huge leap technologically.
Bingo.
Ol' baw is giving the OT the hard sell like we are his wife.

I don’t understand the fascination with taking all of the fun out of grilling.
When I cook a brisket, I want to get up early, I want to get the fire going, I want to check on it all day, I want to do all of that.
Grilling and smoking are supposed to be fun. Why buy something that does it all for me, thus robbing me of the fun?

Products like this and $50 cups are proof that everybody has more spending money than what’s good for them.

Ok, and you can still do all that with this. You can turn the electrical stuff off and do it the regular way.
I do quite a few overnight low and slows. This would come in handy for that especially.

Idk about you, but if I’m smoking a brisket overnight, the built in temperature controller would come in handy.
There’s something magic about the feeling of lighting a pit and getting it steady.
There’s something magic about pushing a button and not finagling.
They’re both great. This, fortunately, does both. I’ve got a cheap Costco Kamado (I think I paid $400 and it’s blue with a ~22” grill). It cooks great. I would still want to light it manually and do stuff at daytime. But to have a brisket ready for lunch? My wife would like it a lot more if I weren’t lighting at 10pm/midnight and coming in/out of the room. There are already after market exhaust motors for almost any brand of Kamado and also aftermarket intake fans. I still haven’t bought any of them. I probably will eventually, or eventually move to something like this if my current grill ever gives up the ghost.

And none of the quality.

And why would I pay for all this extra shite that I don’t want or need?
This is for people who don’t like to grill but want to eat the food.
And that’s fine just don’t pretend that you’re doing anything more than throwing something in a crockpot.

Yeah there is absolutely no fun in checking on a brisket every few couple hours all night long. I have the small version of the kamado that I caught on sale for $225 a few years back and it is an absolutely awesome and efficient grill built to last a lifetime.
I have the masterbuilt gravity and while it still works, i had to jump out all of the safeties, the firebox is rusted out and i wonder if the particles from the inside end up in my food. They said it was designed to do that…. Ok. The internals are flaking large shards of rust and dont have many miles left. Its also a pain in the arse to clean
Kamado products are built to last. You pay a premium but its too quality and they cook great. Its also very efficient with charcoal and super easy to clean.
