This is idiotic. If you want hot food without paying attention, we have ovens, microwaves, and carryout.

If you want to grill and have zero skills, we have gas grills.

Or use a set of skills that is pretty darn basic, third grade level, and start your charcoal in a $7 chimney, then roast your food over it on a grill of your choice. $12 walmart sh*tbox all the way up to a $5000 green egg.

Fun question: what happens in a few years when the computer in your grill goes kaput? What happens when your phone is a few generations advanced and will no longer connect to your mega-money computer/grill?

That's a pass for me dog.

You're post is idiotic. I'd put my gravity feed BBQ up against your stick burner any day of the week, and I didn't have to tend a fire for 12 hours. My Fireboard 2 did that for me while I did other things. I've fought fires for BBQ, screw that, it's not worth it especially when there are things out there that can match the flavor.

I've also had a Yoder since 2017, not one glich on the "computer".

You can still use the grill the regular way, smartass.

They have an on/off option built in for if you don’t want to use the electric settings, frickface.

This is not a traeger electric pellet grill in which you can only use it if the electrical parts work.

this thread shows how stupid people can be. lets bitch about a grill that will hold a temp for you where you can worry about doing other shite and dont have to wake up 5-6 times during the night to babysit a brisket. its fricking idiotic. all while technology has made so many other routine tasks simple in their lives...

Id bet most of the complainers in this thread have an electric traeger or propane masterbuilt smoker that has the same amount of control and ease of use as this thing.

They may have a stick burner as well, but I bet its only been used once in the past 5 years because they burnt the brisket last time.

And why would I pay for all this extra shite that I don’t want or need?

This is for people who don’t like to grill but want to eat the food.

And that’s fine just don’t pretend that you’re doing anything more than throwing something in a crockpot.

Just wanted to say that you sound like a total douche right now.

People on here just can’t help but shite on things for no reason. Like they think we’ll say “oh damn, tadman thinks this is a stupid product so I better not buy it.”

And you’re exactly right about them too. Guarantee you they have a stick burner that they fricked up a cook on and don’t use anymore.

Though half the reason I like to man the grill is so that I can drink beer, shoot the shite and not have to watch the kids or do other chores around the house.

You can still do that, just without worrying about inconsistent temps. You think your wife will have any idea what that thing does when you set it up?

Just tell her, going man the smoker, set up chair, crack open beer, and act as usual.

It isn't even their most expensive model. Their Series II and Series III models are more expensive.

This is why my offset just sits and looks pretty. Loving the control I have with my gravity feed.

This isn't really that new. Weber has had a charcoal starter in some of their grills going back to the early 90s. Also, mastertouch has had a gravity fed charcoal smoker for at least 3 years now.

But on the long low and slows you still have to make sure they’re still holding temps.

I do low and slow all the time on my WSM and Weber Kamado overnight and sleep like a baby every time. They hardly ever budge in temps throughout the night according to my Meater temp probe. Usually staying between 230 and 250 the whole night with me sleeping.

bunch of dorks in here.

If you have a kamado and a controler, should you go uot and get this, no.. But having all of that in one package is great. If im ever in the market for a new kamado i would look into this... Most people with kamodos use them for smoking as much or more than straight grilling so these features are nice.

Lol. Been there done that. Man those suck.
Nothing like cooking on a crusted over pit with coals 2 inches under your food. The last guy probably cooked meth on that thing.
Good times. Crappy BBQ!

Exactly. I'm not saying that if you don't have one of these then you should put whatever grill/smoker you have to the curb.
