Funny how me as a 44 year old vividly remembers the 24/7 media coverage of us liberating Kuwait with non-stop footage of precision missiles, dropped bombs, etc hitting their targets on live tv with Stormin Norman, Wolf Blitzer, Colin Powell, etc giving updates by the hour when we are now told the same thing is occurring 31 years later in Ukraine completely absent of what we saw in 1991. 31 fricking years ago. 1991. Why is the corrupt media lying to us? 31 fricking years ago we sawwar real-time. Now we rely on feelings.

I remember the same thing at 41, watching it on a tv that probably weighed more than I did at the time. I’ll have to give credit to CNN when it comes to this war of aggression from Russia against Ukraine, CNN does the best job on actual reports from the war zone.

That dude was a badass.. Anyone remember when they had desert storm cards? They were like baseball cards, but of people associated with Desert Storm.. I had one of Norman Schwarzkopf.

If I looked hard enough at my mom's house I still might have it.

I was watching one of Schwarzkopf’s pressers with my Dad when the Gulf War started. My dad said I went to school with that general at West Point. I bet he's a great General. I asked why is that? Dad said Schwarzkopf was an upper classman when I was a plebe. I hated that SOB

That video just gave me chills. We really have fallen as a society. When was the last time we saw this level of confidence and competency in a national leader of any kind?God dammit this country needs a fricking leader like never before. Good old fashioned, unapologetic, cock and balls. It’s amazing how foreign a concept that is these days. I pray that we at least have military leadership behind the scenes somewhere offering advice and consent to the buffoons who hold office. Maybe they aren’t on television or out front, but there, grasping the situation and telling it like it is. I’m not even talking about the Ukraine situation per se. I just hope these kind of men still exist somewhere because if not, this whole movie is gonna come to an end soon.

The media over all those years tiptoed little bit further and little bit further and little bit further looking for that line over which they absolutely could not step. Come to find out there is no line and they can literally do and say whatever they want with nearly zero repercussions. But now the cat’s outta the bag and it’s a damn free for all limited only by their imaginations.

Born the same year. While you were in the sand I was in college dropping acid, drinking quarter pitchers and chasing skirts- now wish I was with you but all I can do is salute.

One thing to me is certain is IQs have plummeted.
