Start a fire
Put ice/snow in a pot
Put pot on fire till it is boiling.
Let water cool. Then drink water.

People act like it’s the end of the world. Where there’s a will there’s a way. 75% if the earth is water and you mean to tell me you can’t find water? I pity the fool...

Two weeks to prep for what? Most people expected to be at work Wednesday morning.

Hell, I was planning to go to work Monday. We are just now finally getting to the rolling outages. First night in my house with elasticity, even though it's only on every other hour.

I have friends that live here but are from up north and they weren't prepared.

Grab one every grocery trip until you have what you need.

For my family of 4 we have 56 gallons. We keep them in the pantry and a few closets.

Or just all at once for $40

Yeah. Most of the MUDs in Houston are under a boil warning now because water pressure is low across the region because of extreme water usage (running drips).

Lina Hildalgo (awful bitch) said during a press conference that the Houston area is seeing water usage equivalent to that of peak summer time water usage. And they are now urging people in the area to not do the “constant drip” method but rather cut off their main lines and drain their pipes.

I had a copper pipe burst yesterday morning so we have been having neighbors fill up pitchers for us so we can boil water in a kettle powered by my truck so that we can wash baby bottles to feed our newborn. Also been melting snow/ice for toilet water since yesterday. It’s ummm, a fun situation m.

I would imagine not great. Parts of Katy has had pretty serious power outages since Sunday/Monday as I understand it.

Absolutely. My point was that anyone can do this.

By grabbing a gallon of water and a can of beans every grocery you can create a sufficient emergency pantry and be prepared for just about anything.

It's shocking how many people are not prepared for even minor inconveniences much less true emergencies.
