I don't see how a parcel box is a problem. But that's the best option in your case.

I buy everything from Amazon. Subscribe and save is awesome

This has been pretty standard from them for close to 10 years now. I rarely buy stuff from them anymore after a few returns I had where they made me jump through ridiculous hoops.

Don't worry, they'll build a monstrosity of a "warehouse" near you and then delivery times will go from 5-6 days to 8-12 days. You will search and search, but you will never be able to find anything for sale on Amazon that ships from that warehouse. You will know that by the fact that same day or next day delivery is nonexistent. Meanwhile, the Amazon Prime that you've paid for will remain useless because actual Prime delivery is a rarity now and Amazon has jacked up their prices to almost cover the cost of "free shipping".
Pro tip:
If you actually need something, find what you want and then find a direct from manufacturer or a good dealer's website. Buy it from them. Even when you pay the shipping costs it will be roughly the same price as Amazon, and you will almost always get it sooner. Pay with PayPal if you want to have some protections.

I don’t have issues with Amazon. With prime I get most everything I order within 2 days at the latest. Usually though they are delivering it the same day or the next day

With the advent of the downturn in the economy, Amazon has sunk even lower than previously and is now untenable as a source for anything due to poor quality, delivery issues and lousy customer service. 3rd party sellers have been pooped on by the behomath Amazon and are now retaliiating themselves by dissing buyers on this platform. And it so bad that Amazon has shielded themselves with the dreaded wall of foreign customer service that includes poor connections and very unintelligible thick tongued english speaking people. Couple that with the even more dreaded answering system which attempts to use artificial intelligence to handle customer issues. No sir, you are not alone in your disdain for this outfit. The cost of a rocket ship program, yachts as big as city blocks, newswpaper ownership, etc have caused this once well run organization to become a has-been. I remember when Sear's was as big as Amazon and I watched as they, too, fell from grace due to poor customer service and high prices. The parallels are astonishing.

The Amazon warehouse near me is still in the same spot and I still haven't found the first item being sold with same or next day shipping. I have benefited in no way whatsoever from having a warehouse in my area.
Bot or not......Amazon ain't what it used to be.

Love their return policy. They made it, not me. I had a $100 gift card a couple of months ago. Just on that card, I tried out like 19 guitar/bass pedals. I was out nothing. Try them out for a few days, hit return button, put in bag and drop at UPS store that I drive by everyday.
Sad thing is I only found one I liked before putting the balance towards a more expensive item I wanted.
