Nah, it’s just a little prick, which most of us are extremely familiar with

Pics! Of the nurse, just in case you decide to be a smartass. We don't want to see your nuts.

I've got mine scheduled for next Thursday, same reason.. do it while the deductible has been met.

What kind of painkillers did they give you? I plan to spend four days with my nuts on ice (peas) and pretty much coast through the weekend, back at work on Monday.

I used to work with a guy who'd had a vasectomy and shortly afterward his wife became pregnant. He made a HUGE scene about her cheating, said he was going to take her to the cleaners in the divorce, get full custody of the other kids ...all that.

Turned out he didn't wait the proper amount of time after the procedure and was stupid enough to assume he was shooting blanks. It was even funnier because everyone in his family (aside from him) are medical professionals so you'd think he would've known better but he's an arrogant anal sphincter.

I tried to get mine scheduled before the end of the year but the wife isnt ready to be totally done yet. I told her the difference between 2 and 3 kids is summer vacations in Europe vs Gulf Shores.

So you mean I don't have to go in at 6am, be put under, and finally find a ride home at noon? All to just lay around the house moaning all day hoping J'ody still doesn't make his rounds.

How right you are. We are stopping at two. My kids are great, and I'm sure a third would be a wonderful addition to our family, but it is a quality of life issue for us. Three means new car, new house, all that stuff.

I work with a guy who never went back in to verify the procedure worked. Ended up with a fourth child. He said it had been close to 4 months since the procedure and he was really concerned about the health of the baby when they found it she was pregnant. Kid turned out out fine but it was definitely a shocker.

The needle in the banus hurt me a bit and the smell of the cauterized flesh are two of the worse memories. Use the ice bag and do what they say to heal properly.

I need one and can hardly read this thread without getting that kicked in the nuts feeling in my stomach.

Best money I ever spent. Highly recommend it for any man who knows he doesn't want any more kids. For me the shot in the groin area was a heavy pinch, and there was some soreness afterwards, but sitting in my recliner all weekend with a cold compress (frozen peas works very well) then back to work on Monday -- it was relatively simple. Far easier procedure and recovery than tubal ligation or hysterectomy for a woman. Also - everything looks and feels exactly the same when you are back in business. The only difference is seen under a microscope, because there are no longer any swimmers present.
