Company needed a 33% reduction in workforce due to reduced work load. cut everyone who by seniority who hasn't been with the company at least two years. No severance package or anything. Figured this was coming, but still hits you when it does. Not oil field, but the company does deal with some oil and gas drilling products. My plant was more in the mining wear part industry.
Oh well, time to hit the job hunting trail again. Anyone know of places hiring. Willing to relocate anywhere between Oklahama and Texas to the east coast. Doesn't matter.

I'd say you have a good case for a lawsuit.

Ouch, I'm really sorry to hear this. What kind of work are you looking for?

O&G will be tough now.
With Natural gas being so cheap I would look for a fertilizer plant or the like.

I feel you man.
My company has a big announcement coming tomorrow and I'm prepared for the worst. We aren't totally reliant on the oil and gas industry but it takes a huge chunk of our business when they are down.

Step 1: Get the unemployment checks headed your way.
Step 2: Bust arse and find a new job.
Good luck man

Yeah. My dumbass didn't take the praxis yet however because I was doing well in this company. Moved from basic labor to team leader in less than 3 months and was eligible next month for the company to pay for tuition at MSU's school of engineering

You'll be fine. Just hang in there and pound the pavement.
