We're in a regional office separated from headquarters but our entire office has the capacity to work remotely and individuals often do based on individual circumstances. Seems like the big boss is taking the traditional approach to all this. Not sure if its the right thing to do or cavalier to basically wait until something happens to potentially change anything.

Better than the response from my company.
Said we need to save the bottled waters for guests.

Sounds like you work for someone with common sense. Good for you

My boss was doing the same, but finally caved yesterday. Going to start remote on Monday.

Our company has been slowly moving to increasing work from home capacity. This panic sped up some investments. I see that as a positive as the remote work capability will diversify our ability to staff and collaborate remote.

For any lawyers in the house, the Louisiana Supreme Court/Fourth Circuit is closed today and Friday while a professional cleaning crew goes through the offices. After that, for a period of about a month the only people that will be allowed in to the building are employees and lawyers who need to manually file stuff. But security will prevent you from entering if you exhibit signs of the virus.

Where's the office? If this is Seattle, yeah your boss is a shithead.
If it's in Covington, you're still in wait and see mode.

time to find a new job dude. I beg you to find an employer who cares

I’m with ya man. My boss won’t send anybody home unless every potential client is at home as well. Totally oblivious.
Dude was complaining this morning about how he doesn’t understand why people aren’t reaching out for products this week.

Any way you look at it that’s the wrong decision.

I would go to law school and pass the bar just to be able to take this case for free.
