This was my first thought. It seems like a quarter of the cars on the road have a temporary or no plates. You can’t tell me there are THAT many newly purchased cars on the road with bumpers falling off and shite.

Technically it expires the 1st day of the corresponding month/year. I literally do not have one on one of my vehicles and have not had an issue. Are you shady or suspicious looking?

Inspection stickers are fricking stupid
It’s actually my only form of government protest that I’ve ever done. I REFUSE to get one. Why the frick should i have to make sure my vehicle is fit for the road when the roads aren’t even fit for my vehicle?? (I live in south Louisiana fwiw)

Make fun of FL all you want. I got more than than one in LA, who I think only enforces it in a couple of Parishes for emissions, which is usually the issue. Unless you have tinted windows and that's on you.

It's just a tax. There's an inspection station near me that passed my wife's car with the front all crashed up. I took it to get the orange sticker with the front bumper tie strapped on and they passed me

I haven’t had a sticker at all for the last 4-5 years. At this point a ticket is probably cheaper than buying them every year. I’ve even been pulled over for speeding tickets, and they still didn’t notice my non existent inspection sticker

If you get a ticket for an expired sticker and don’t pay it what happens? Do you not get to renew your drivers license when it’s time?

In FL I don't have to do all of that, pay no state income tax and less sales tax. Oh, and I don't have to worry about dying in certain parts of my zip-code and the beach is minutes away. Yeah, and our Governor didn't destroy our state with Covid.

The real bitch is when you live in one of the dirty air parishes like EBR and your check engine light comes on your 2008 Jeep. They won’t inspect it. I was told it would cost $800 to fix the emission issue and make the light go out. I kept the damn Jeep in MS for like 3 years at my camp then one day the light went out and I drove to Slaughter and got it inspected. The next day the fricking light came back on. I sold the damn Jeep to a guy in MS. Before the sticker was due again. Good price too..

I haven’t paid for one in over 10 years. I’ve had 3 different vehicles since then. As soon as they expire I remove them. If I get pulled over I’ll say the windshield was just replaced and Safelite took it with the old windshield.

Quite a few cop cars have expired inspection ticket themselves.
My cop friend told me about his cop buddy pulling someone over for the inspection ticket. Then the person pointed out that the cop's inspection was expired too.
After he told me that story, i started being concious about cop cars inspection sticker. Sure enough, saw a couple expired ones on parked cop cars
