you do realize a lot of the dance teams aren’t owned by the teams they represent.
meaning they don’t even work FOR the NFL.

and the companies they work for are probably not multi-billion dollar industries.

You think the Saints pay their dude cheerleader $107.14-$178.57 a game?
ETA: Damn, this thread got away from me by the time I responded to it. I'm slow.

you would think they would at least make liveable wages for such a high profile job

The market sets the price. Who gets to determine what a "livable wage" is? They could always go wait tables.

A girl who is hot enough to be an NFL cheerleader is doing it for the ego boost, the fun of doing it and being part of the dance team (again, validation, ego boost), and because it is fun.

They dont do it to make money. They could be paid zero and there would still be an endless line of girls wanting to do it.

Girls that hot have a line of guys around the block that will give them all the money they need for attention, affection, sex, etc. They pick and choose from those men when they want money. They arent cheerleading as a job or career.

For years they were paid nothing but the tryout line each year was incredibly long, still is, now cheerleaders go from team to team, professional ditzes

ETA: Bless their hearts

I believe they make more profiting off the fact of being an NFL cheerleader. What that entails I have no idea. Perhaps magazines and modeling.

That really is surprisingly little...however, they have far more applicants than positions, so it is what the market dictates.

Cheerleaders don’t bring in money. Why should they be paid high dollars? Also, they get plenty of modeling deals, paid appearances and other avenues of income.

Did you have classes at Notre Dame with Skylar Diggins?

I know guys that worked menial jobs for pro teams, or even the media, to make contacts. I had a guy that would go get post-game quotes from the Mavericks visitors locker room for $20 bucks a night. He was a one-time Mavs training camp player. He used his college career, his old camp ties, and the newer contacts he made working for me, to start up some kids camps around Dallas. That's the kind of thing those cheerleaders should be trying to do.

When I was fresh out of college, I worked Rangers, Mavericks, and Cowboy games just to get to go to the games. Didn't get paid a dime, but it was well worth it. I had a real job, but wanted to get into covering games.

Graduates from some great colleges do unpaid internships with pro teams every year.

Some teams (I.e., Dallas) treat it as a more full time gig and have numerous appearances. Those make a bit more but do have day jobs. Went to grad school with now psychologist/Saints cheerleader.

And let's be honest for 90% of DCC the goal is to put it on your husband resume (and it works)

Settle down. They clearly get compensated much more than the "salary".

You'll know it's time to pay more when fine, bendy bitches stop doing it.

Or you could just eliminate it by paying it off. You did borrow the money after all.

What makes you sure they're not doing the cheerleader gig as a hobby to supplement their day job? Since when do hobbies have to pay "liveable wages"?

Business associate of mine provides a service to the Saints at home games, cant say what it is, but he does it for free because he gets to attend all the home games for free, and stand on the sidelines.
