We are thankful that they are di-di. reduces the risk for a lot of complications by a lot. The goal is 36 weeks.

At our 18 week appointment last week her stomach measured 22 weeks. Kind of freaked us out a little bit thinking about it. She's short.

Probably the best advice, and also the most obvious, that I received was that you don't need all the answers right away. It gets overwhelming very quickly when you start thinking too far ahead. For a while before mine were born I was terrified of having twin 16 y/o girls. Like legit worry. Since then I've just focused on a day or week at a time. You'll grow with them and you'll have the experience and answers needed by the time the questions and problems arrive. That eases the emotional burden tremendously, and as a father with two girls, you need all the help you can get.

yea, I'm trying to not think about the big things. When I worry, I try to make it about little petty things, like how will I get her used to grass, water/boats, guns, etc. I'm just going to think about planning that stuff out and worry about puberty and pubescent boys later.

I had surprise twins when my 1st son was only 17 months old. Prepare for a lot of work, but it's a lot of fun.

ETA: My twins are girls as well. Lots of fighting and drama, but that probably has a lot to do with my son being so close in age. The 3rd person throws the dynamic off. If one of them is out of the house (doesn't matter which one), things get a lot calmer.

It is very cool to see how they are best friends, even though they almost kill each other at least once a day. And, they each get sad when the other one is away. They just turned 8 on the 4th of July.

I have two sets of twins. One set is 4 and the other is 1 year. Enjoy and embrace the chaos. One day at a time.

Whoa. My wife and I always talk about what it would have been like to have a 2 or 3 year old who would have effectively gotten away with murder when our twins were born. To have two at that age while dealing with twin infants is something else.

I don't think you will have an issue since the placenta is where the issue is for TTS. Thank goodness you don't have to go through that. We had to do weekly sonograms until the about 2 weeks before the surgery then we did twice a week sonograms until they were born at 35 1/2 weeks.

I knew how to read sonograms like a champ at that point

Congrats, but this next 2 years will be crazy hard. I have 1 year old daughters so here's a few tips.

1. Start picking up diapers now and stock piling.
2. Don't spend stupid money on clothes. Comfy stuff that is easier to change.
3. Get a baby brezza. It's a bottle maker that keeps water warm. It will save your sanity.
4. Just understand that until they're 1 it's going to be crazy. But, once they get to that 1 year old mark they usually sleep well.
5. It's going to wreck your wives body and will take her a full year to mentally and physically get past.
6. It's a team effort. Early on one baby was on the side of my bed in a Moses basket and one on hers. We switched every night.

Congrats man, it's amazing and both are so different. There's places online that will send you coupons bc of having twins.

I want to try for a 3rd eventually and try to get a girl but I'm scared I'll get twin boys again! I think it is more likely that you will get twins again if you already had them.

Used keurig for hot water to warm

Luckily, ours slept through the night from month 3. We just MADE SURE to stick to a schedule every single time. We woke our kids in the middle of the night to eat. We didn't let them sleep through it. It kept them on schedule.

Yeah, it's never "your turn" with twins. It's always both of your turns.

We are right there with ya. Wife and I have a 14 month old son through ACRM (infertility clinic in Atlanta). Just found out we are having twins due in Feb, same process. 3 is more than we wanted so freaking out is putting it mildly for me. Congrats

Congrats, I hope grandparents and other family live close by. If not you need to think about moving closer to them or get ready to pony up for a full time nanny.

One is one but two is ten.

I can't decide what to think of that. They look fine but I would think that would put a lot of pressure on the head, neck and jaw.
