Don't know about the best but it's definitely an underrated movie that he starred in. Not sure why it isn't a more popular movie overall.

I don't understand why this movie gets the love that it gets by being played constantly on The Golf Channel. It's ok at best. I always thought Dead Solid Perfect was the better of those two golf movies that came out around that time.

The Postman was good compared to Waterworld.

Waterworld and Dances with Wolves are two of the worst movies ever made.

He’s been in some great movies and we hardly hear abt him.

He's a fratty white guy that loves golf, baseball, good scotch and hunting.

He isn't the type the media likes to hype up. Needs to cut his dick off and he'll get more talk time on TV.

He may be a great guy but I can't stand him as an actor.

In anything.

Ran into him at City Lights in New Orleans while he was filming JFK. I said something funny and he laughed. That’s my claim to fame.

. Lol

Dances with wolves was probably his best movie. I believe he directed it to. Think it won best picture at the oscars.

Waterworld, per dollar, was abysmal. Still entertaining, but low-budget level entertaining and it was one of the most expensive movies ever at the time.

Dance with Wolves is an all time great movie and won the following Oscars:

Best Picture
Best Director
Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium
Best Cinematography
Best Sound
Best Film Editing
Best Music, Original Score

And was nominated for these:

Best Actor in a Leading Role
Best Actor in a Supporting Role
Best Actress in a Supporting Role
Best Art Direction-Set Decoration
Best Costume Design

So I think we can all agree to never take your opinions seriously when it comes to movies

Once Paramount finds more people for the Dutton and ranch hands to kill.

I've actually met him on 3-4 occasions. Once in college....he was a member of my fraternity and then again during the filming of JFK, then he was in town quite a bit during the Deepwater Horizon blowout....he was invested in and involved( not passively) in a technology that cleans up oil spills. He is a very smart guy. Worth about 200 -250 million. He asks lots of questions. He understands his money.

Correct, and Costner actually directed DWW and won Best Director for it in addition to getting Best Picture. His five year run from 1987 to 1991 is as impressive as any actor in history. Untouchables, Bull Durham, Field of Dreams, DWW, and JFK. Those are all heavy duty films. Plus he also released other popcorn type films during that time period that were successful, such as Robin Hood.

He also has a country band and was involved in pioneering oil spill cleanup equipment after the Exxon Valdez. I remember his name coming up during the Deepwater Horizon.

I think my favorite of all the movies is Field of Dreams. I never understood why Kevin didn't bust Timothy Busfield in the mouth for trying to foreclose on the farm. It was private property -- if you want to plow your corn under and build a baseball field, that's your prerogative.

Zero competition there.

Russo has a stronger jawline than most men.

Preston had some of the best tits ever seen on film.
