This is why cancel culture wins. OP did his best to help change Disney firing someone for literally doing nothing, and he is made fun of by people that likely actually hate cancel culture

Liberals do a great job of having a fortified front. Conservatives for the most part are laissez faire and allow themselves to get dominated

Dude, Disney+ is like $7 a month. Why do you have to share it with your Bro?

Because why would I pay the full cost for 2 people in my house to use a 4 person subscription?

I wouldn't make fun of anyone for cancelling all their Disney subs (Disney+, Hulu, ESPN, ABC..it goes on)

I'm just making fun of the absurdity of reading the riot act to a customer service rep

and then, of course, having to tell everyone about it, because we all know boycotts don't count unless you tell everyone

Why? If the majority of their subscribers actually did this it would likely work

Cancel culture is successful because only one side complains loudly.

The disney+ show the Mandalorian fired one of the stars for speaking out with conservative views on Twitter. She was a strong lead woman in the show and is an MMA fighter IRL I think. So he called Disney + to complain

I don’t think saying that the way conservatives are being treated is akin to Jews leading up to the Holocaust is a “conservative view” so much as an extreme view that some conservatives may hold. It’s not like she’s getting axed for being in favor of lower tax rates or some actual conservative principles. She’s being fired for expressing a comparison that many found offensive.

I’ll never understand where the “silent majority” stance comes from. Y’all complain quite loudly pretty consistently.

because its an absurd thing to do

if the majority of their subscribers actually cancelled and stayed away, that might actually work

the problem is most people eventually go back

Liberals have dominated conservatives here. They band together with one voice and apply public pressure

Conservatives bring sling shots to a tank battle

I hate how our media has conditioned the public to refer to totalitarian progressives and authoritarian Democrats as “liberal”. And refer to actual liberals as fringe “conservatives”.

We are basically in opposite land on everything else. May as well be wrong on this too.

Here is another fun example that was just uttered yesterday. You know, trying to unite the country.

Who silenced her speech? That’s not a thing.

She got fired from her job because her employer and her have different views and she voiced them very publicly. Teachers get fired from Catholic Schools because of the same stuff. This is perfectly fine.

I mean yeah. Ultimately if this is what Disney wants to do this is what they want to do. I just wanted to make sure they knew I thought it was hypocritical and belittling to the woman who clearly seems a little more genuine than most in hollywood. This board will rake cancel culture over the coals then if anyone actually does anything they'll just point and laugh.

Which is likely the exact attitude that leads to most people who aren't leftists getting totally rolled on.

That’s cute

A private business owner was forced to make a cake because he was told he couldn’t chose what to make in his own company based on personal beliefs

However

Individuals can be fired from their job over personal beliefs.

You don’t see anything hypocritical here?

it’s not binary though

There’s the people who complain a lot/left wing skyscreamers
The people who don’t care enough to cancel (the vast majority)
“The silent majority”
Right wing skyscreamers

The inconvenient truth is there’s no such thing as the silent majority. In today’s America, with rapidly changing demographics and anti traditional/America sentiments skyrocketing, it’s only going to get worse. Much worse.
