To the rednecks and baws who figure out they cant afford that bass boat, side by side, F250, etc. after 6 months.

When you don't put anything down it's not worth "the payoff" after you drive it off the lot. So you just look poor and dumb when you put that on your FB or Craigslist ad.

I've seen this on two 2018 Bass Boats today.

BUT, depending on how much and how long (or short) they paid on it, it might very well BE.

Weird melt. If you can’t afford the pay off maybe you should be looking at a 2008 boat instead.

My boat was "paid off" the day I wrote the check for it, if you have to finance anything other than a house or main vehicle you cant afford it.

Ive done it once. I was 21 and sold a 6 month old modded sportsman 800 for payoff. I just wanted out of it because I never used it.

Some dude got a smoking deal on it.

But I know what you mean.

People on Facebook routinely as 2-3k MORE for their Honda ATVs and side by sides than what many dealerships sell them for. Why? Too stupid to shop around. And then expect the second buyer to eat the difference

Meh, if you have a good credit score it's foolish not to finance purchases between 8-20k.

Unless you're over 140k a year you shouldn't finance a toy for more than 20k...because you shouldn't buy one period.

Men buying big pickup trucks that they don’t need is a huge epidemic in the south. They think they need it. They think it’s what makes them manly and macho. In reality it just makes them look ridiculous for wasting so much money on something so over the top wasteful.

It’s pathetic really.

“Just looking for someone to pick up the payments”

What’s worse is when the trash puts a whole bunch of custom crap on the truck and thinks that makes it worth more money when it’s only desirable to like 10% of the population.

Dumb.

If you get a justifiable interest rate paying cash for a large purchase is financially retarded. Even a simple REIT will give you at least a 6% return vs the 3% you might pay in interest on a vehicle. Easy decision.

But go ahead and call other people stupid while you melt on a message board.

Most APR I see are in the 3-5% for vehicles even with great credit. Are you saying you know of a better place to park 8-20k that makes more than 3% guaranteed?
